That doesn't make anything I've said less true.

You find it funny when LSU and Saints fans bash him and I find it funny when bama fans try to act like he was a good draft pick. He's been awful for the vast majority of his career with the Saints, and that's something that can be backed up with numbers if you want to go there.

Eta and I actually liked the pick when we took him. I don't GAF where anyone played on college. I want Amari in NOLA

Oh no, I don't think he was a good draft pick at 30 or 31 or wherever it was the Saints got him. He should have been a 2nd-3rd round guy. He's clearly underperformed so far in his career relative to where he was selected. I do think he's in a weird spot that didn't fit his style very well and think it will be best for both the Saints and Ingram for him to go somewhere else next year. He isn't anything more than a solid 12-15 carry guy, but in the right place hes a decent NFL RB. Nothing more, nothing less.

I agree with all of that. But saints fans don't use him as a scapegoat. Go spend 10 min on the saints board and you'll see who saints fans blame.

Ours are playing in the Super Bowl.

For real. P-Willy is hurt, Eli had a pretty good year actually, and Oher, and McCluster got hurt.

I find it funny that Saints/LSU fans love using Ingram as the scapegoat for all their frustrations. Have to find a new one next year when things so splat. Again.

The Saints have MANY more problems than Ingram but it's easy to see he was a wasted draft selection. (cost us two #1s for an average RB)

RBs are a dime a dozen these days. There's no need to waste a high draft pick or free agency funding to overpay for a position which is no longer of significance as it was 10-20 years ago. He'll be VERY easy to replace.

When you consider the Saints averaged more yards per play when he was on the bench as when he was in the game, it's quite apparent a change is needed.

People here defend him solely because he played at Alabama and claim that's why some dislike him. Look at Roman Harper. We liked him when he played well and were ready for him to leave when it was obvious he could no longer play at an acceptable level. It had nothing to do with his college. It's about performance. The FACT is Ingram is just not very good.

Agree - only insecure, non-NFL people continue liking/disliking guys in the NFL (or their NFL teams) because of where guys went in college.

Just another reason why the Pro Bowl should just be a selection of players and no game involved.

Yea I agree with all that. Heck, most draft boards have Gurley going around 30-32, and assuming he is back after his injury he is as good an RB talent as college has produced since AP.

they just figured that 900 yards with the saints = about 1800 anywhere else.

He was the #10 option, a lot pieces had to fall in place for him to make the cut.

We almost always have one because of Patrick Willis. He was injured early in the season though so that didn't happen.
