Student tickets, of course not. Having enough student tickets that just about every student that wants to go can get a ticket, yes.
I'm entering my senior year at Georgia and I've gotten every home game in my 3 years from the ticket office. For $8 a game.

Even if you get screwed and only get a half season, you could easily scalp the three you didn't get for less than $200.

Charging 225 for a student package is outrageous.

A&M has roughly 50k students. Do the other 20k just not care about football?

Maybe. We have a lot of foreign students and grad students that might not care, plus a lot of people could have jobs.

^thanks tween the hedges, that is the type of info I was wanting. How many student tickets does Georgia have per game?

At LSU there is a ticket lottery for freshmen and transfer students. This year I would imagine some students get tickets to one set of 4 home game while others get tickets to the other set of 4 home games. All other students register for tickets in the summer and receive tickets for all games. I think the price for student tickets to all 8 home games cost around $115 this year.

So if you are an underclassmen, what are your chances of going to every home game?

100% if you pay the $85 on you student account. First come first serve.

Tickets used to be (a few years ago)$1 to Fayetteville games, $2 to Little Rock.

Last year the access pass started and was $65. Now it's $85.

Is there a mad rush at Ark since there are only 9500ish tickets?

Our ticket prices have been about this price for the last few years, especially for the bigger games.

And it isn't because of "student tickets". It is because the aTm athletic dept borrowed a lot of money from the general fund.

They were pretty high before Byrne arrived and started over spending. When I was a student pre-Byrne, the bigger games where anywhere from 85 to about 100 in face value.

Sure student tickets are not the only reason, but it is part. Selling approx 1/3 of the seats in your stadium for a big discount does affect prices. The loan has been repaid a while back, so this year is mostly high demand.

225 for student tickets? Good lord. I think MSU recently upped the cost from 20 bucks to 25.

But really, how many games do students get to go too per season at places like LSU and Bama?
I went to every Bama game all 4 years that I was a student.

Interesting

Hardest tickets to get is still going to be LSU/Bama, with LSU/A&M being a distant second.

Enrollment is roughly 32K. No idea how big the student section is.

It's $120 this year for student tickets at Auburn. If you have more than 15 hours coming in and are not a 1st year student on campus then you'll get student tickets. Majority of the freshman here will get a mini-season or nothing (had to scalp for mine last year).

All other sporting events on campus (baseball, basketball, womens bb, gymnastics, etc) are free for all students.

ETA: AU enrollment is currently sitting at 25,500.

Not sure how many student section seats.. probably 15-18k.

LSU student tickets are $106 ($96, w/$10 processing fee).
Different groups (fraternities, grad school, etc.) get an allotment, and so on.
Pretty sure bowl games are based off points of how many events you go to, usually coming down to how many you went to outside of football.
I think I'm right, if it's changed in the last year, but I sit outside of the student section in family tickets for games, my sister usually sits in the student section.

so you have 20,000 students that don't even want to go to the game? must be grad student nerds.

As we all know , face value doesn't mean much. Where can an non student get tickets for the listed prices for decent games? I just dont see tickets being that cheap for good games. Most stadiums are sold out on season tickets and require donations that go from small to huge depending on the seat location.

I posted our donation rates, what are everyone else's rates? I have heard there are a few areas at LSU and Bama that require little to no donation, but yall's stadiums are larger and not 1/3 students. I am sure there are also some seats that have crazy high donation levels.

Arkansas does a really good job of making the games accessible to students. $85 for all 3 sports is a hell of a deal.

at Okie Light it's $210 for 7 games and $385 for football and basketball. Baseball, wrestling, and most everything else is free. This season Texas, TCU, and WV are the best home games. I'm not buying season tickets. The last time I did I left every game early to go watch SEC games on TV. Before my ISP joined the espn3 deal I'd take my laptop to one of the dorms and set up in the commons area and watch the Hogs and other SEC games.

I'm going to be driving 3 hours to Fayetteville instead of walking 3 blocks to Boone-Pickens Stadium at least 3 times this season.

Yeah...i worded that poorly. More than 31k want tickets, but the ones that dont get them are mostly freshmen / grad student etc.., so nobody cares.
