I remember seeing that for the first time in a compilation video of walkoff CFB plays from the losing team’s radio broadcast. I definitely lol’d hard at that one.
Also, I have to give credit where it’s due: Eli Gold is possibly the best radio guy in the country. His calls of the Kick 6 and Watson to Renfrow were great; he didn’t scream like someone was kicking his dog or anything, he just called the play as it was happening just like it was another day in the office, a small hint of disappointment in his voice. He really is class.
