Besides delusional bama fans, yes you are in the minority. Bama doesn't need more recruiting help. They need an offensive coach.

Lane was a pretty salty offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under Pete Carroll

I honesty could see this go either way. But if Saban trust him enough to give up the old OC, then as an opposing fan ill remain cautious.

You are in the minority. And as an OM fan I can appreciate the amount of conflict you must be feeling right now

Might as well rename the Fail room "the Kiffin Room."

Co coordinator. This seems lost on so many.

Showing the room number will help the NCAA to find him.

This type of shite must be why Kiffin keeps landing jobs. He was the OC for a whopping 1 year. A year that had 2 Hesiman winners in the backfield that had already been honed by Chow and Sarkesian. He NEVER coached QBs. Sark was there starting in 2001. Kiffin coached TEs and WRs. He was giving the title of "passing game coordinator" in 2004 to give him more money. The feather in his cap has always been recruiting.

By your logic that means Mullen was a salty OC under CUM and is responsible for the Crystal Balls Florida won

This hire is still surreal to me. If Ed O comes to town then my mind is likely to explode.

FWIW Ogre is the potential Bama hire that would concern me. He's a legit DL coach, great recruiter, and seems to have really matured and learned from earlier mistakes. Kiffin seems to learn absolutely nothing from job to job.

Kiffin knows more football than the SECr combined.

I like the hire, he has great experience. You look at the college QB's he has had, they win and play well.

As far as his HC experience, it doesn't matter as he isn't a HC. But if Bama scores he will get another shot. The Oakland thing was crazy. UT he left and people over reacted. SC was probation and then the injury bug. Haden did right thing, the wrong way IMO.

05 06 he was Pass Game Cord at USC
we know he coached the QB at UT and SC as HC he was in meetings and install of offenses. Plus he called plays at both.

He had Sarkesian and Chow in his first stint at USCw. Crompton is his only "success" story so to speak. Google some of Barkley's quotes about his senior year.
