I'm not the one who started this thread. I'm just saying that Sims behaved more like a pocket passer this year than Prescott did. Hence why Sims rushed the ball 122 fewer times than Prescott did.
I never said you were the OP. You are the one trying to argue that rushing stats shouldn't matter because Sims had fewer attempts. Which is completely ridiculous BTW.

You have reading comprehension problems. Can you please point to the phrase "rushing stats shouldn't matter" in my prior posts?

You're questioning my reading comprehension? Really? I never claimed you said anything so try again.
What I claimed is you are making an argument for Sims being more deserving of the award while omitting rushing yards and TDs, which is like saying rushing stats don't matter.

I will tell you the problem, it doesn't matter that nearly every statistic points to Sims being the more deserving quarterback, its this "progressive" mindset taking over college fb. Mississippi state hasn't had their "fair share." They will give Prescott the trophy even though there is a more deserving quarterback (Sims).
In the words of our dear leader "everyone deserves a slice of the pie."

Except rushing yards, total yards, rushing TDs, and total TDs. But hey, who considers those stats meaningful.

Per game stats aren't really significant as Prescott still accounted for more plays even with Sims playing the extra game (540 vs 428).
Their per attempt numbers are all quite similar with Sims having a slight advantage in passing stats while Prescott is the better runner by a slim margin.

But what is considered a better quarterback? One that has more passing TD's and passing yards or rushing TD's and rushing yards?
I would go with the better passing quarterback and it shows on the field. (this is why Bama won the H2H and represented the west in the champ game)

The one with more total yards and more total TDs.
ETA: NOT the one who completed half is passes and over half of his yards and TDs to one receiver. That's not a great QB to me.

Of course you would. Sims was throwing the ball to the best player in the country and still only managed a whopping 254 more yards and 3 more TDs than Prescott, with an extra game played.

Dak Prescott got nomination solely on hype. The teams that he had his best games against are now some of the worst teams in the league and had 3 interceptions against both Bama teams.
Mississippi State's season sounded great, but now we know they just beat teams that were overrated and they really should've beaten in the first place.

Agreed. If Dak was on Alabama's roster he'd be their starter. But these are the same people that would have rather had AJ McCarron than Johnny Manziel. Gumps be gumpin.

Bama represented over Mississippi State because they were better at every position other than QB.

AJ McCarron was either the first or second most efficient passer in the nation in 2012. He threw for 30 TDs while throwing only 3 interceptions. Johnny Manziel was a great QB but he didn't fit our system.

I contend that Sims throws a better ball and makes less mistakes than Dak. Dak's made some miserable decisions against good teams.
On the other side Dak doesn't have Amari Cooper, TJ Yeldon or Derrick Henry (though his guys aren't chopped liver).
Either way, I think both are pretty good college players. Neither will be a QB in the NFL.

It is funny seeing some Bama fans try to say Sims > Dak right now.
Though, not nearly as funny as MSU fans saying Dak > Cam earlier this year.

Manziel would have been better than AJ in Alabama's system. In 2013 he was the most efficient pocket passer in the entire country. Your words are gibberish. AJ sucked under pressure, was bad with a rush in his face, stared down receivers, and didn't have great arm strength.

Well, stats don't agree with you in either case but carry on.
