MSU almost got AU last year. They will be much improved and draw them at home. I like the upset pick here.
cmon man
3rd game of the season...Auburn was in a different world from when they played LSU to FSU, let alone from MSU onward

Seems like a lot of people have us as a tossup for South Carolina. While I admittedly don't know anything about their 2014 team besides that it is sans Shaw and Clowney, why all the love?
We come off a bye week, were at home and if past results are any indication we should be fine. Just wondering what makes people think its a tossup, no flame intended.

And if past results are any indication of future results, Malzahn won't be at Auburn in two years. No flame intended.

Past results? You haven't played since 2011. What's that got to do with anything?
They have continued, on-going success. They've gone 33-6 in the past three seasons.
Auburn has gone 23-16 in the same stretch. Don't get upset at people giving props for South Carolina's continued success and complain that people don't do the same for Auburn after one season.
You both have really good teams. It'll be a good game.

Spurrier is one of the greatest coaches of all time in my opinion.
He has a hard on for this game, he MIGHT even want it more than the UGA game this year.
I will be surprised if the Gamecocks don't win against y'all this year, mainly because i believe that CSS has it circled on his calendar AND I think y'all are about equal in talent.

USC is a quality team and have been one of the best teams in the country the last 5 years.

Gus re-negotiating his own contract, when there was a lot of talk about him to Texas, proves he doesn't want to be at Auburn. Nice catch on that one.

One person specifically stated past indicators.
Malzahn has never stayed in one location for more than 4 years. Never at any college job for more than 2.
He said "no flame intended", he was just demonstrating the folly of using past indicators (a game that hasn't occurred since 2011) as some kind of indication that neutral fans should not give South Carolina a chance in this game (i.e. the original thread taking slight with calling the game a "toss up").

I agree that USCe is a definite toss up.....so is bama/so is UGA. I think our guys arse rape LSU.

Losses @ Bama/LSU and either OM/MSU
Not to hate on Aubbie, but they needed come from behind wins on what? 3 games last year? That was a miracle season (except the finale ) but I think they take a step back this year with offensive production.

How do people forget that we were an absolute shite show the year before last? Just to be able to come back and win games like we did last year shows so much improvement in year 1, that I think the year 2 improvement will probably be even bigger than what we saw last year.

I actually think we'll have a chance this year to have the best offense that Malzahn has ever had. The big question mark is can Nick Marshall improve throwing the ball as much as they've said he has. If he does, I think my prediction will be right.

Talk of past indicators aside not one person mentioned anything specific to this years South Carolina team that should make it be considered a tossup. I agree that Spurrier is a great coach, but what about THIS USC team makes them considered a "tossup" game?
I never said they had no chance, never said I wasn't the least bit worried about them but the word "tossup" has the connotations of a pick em' game and I just don't see it.
