Time will tell, but the more I read about the way he runs things, the more excited it gets.

Both teams got something to look forward to and seem to be happy. I don’t see a big deal here.

Hopefully it’ll evolve into some great games against one another like we used to have.

I’ve said on here I thought Kentucky should move on from cal, I. Never thought he’d end up here.

No argument here. My guess would be Arkansas has the upper hand for 2 years, then we will see if Pope's coaching ability and his recruiting style take over. No idea.

First, we need players, currently have only 3 for next season. And I doubt we are getting any former recruits back.

If he didn’t play at UK would they have gone after him?

Maybe not. That doesn’t mean he can’t be a quality hire.

They announced former G League HC Jason Hart as one of his assistant hires today. He’s bringing his analytics guy in Cody Fueger from BYU. And they’re pursuing Alvin Brooks III (Baylor Assistant and Lead Recruiter) for the third spot. So at the very least he’s building a quality staff.

Hes been an absolute home run so far. He gets it. BBN is absolutely ecstatic with the hire. Can't wait for November

Not a splash but has ties to UK and byu is a decent size program. Maybe not as big as they would’ve liked but not some no name school either.

If he can adapt and use their NIL well he should be okay

Hell Tubby Smith won a title there. Tubby wasn’t a bad coach but probably not elite either.

Tubby took both Tulsa and Georgia to Sweet 16s before being hired at Kentucky. No disrespect to Georgia, but they literally have two Sweet 16s in their whole history.

Seems like he runs into a brick wall when it matters. Dont give me that hard to recruit to BYU. The football team plays with the sae rules and does fine

He deserves a shot.

It’s an adjustment but it’s nice to see such outright positivity and appreciation for the job and school.
