Is Notre Dame getting a lot of hype again, or do you guys just believe they will be in the preseason top 25 because they always are?

So you guys barely beat the predictions twice in the last 7 years

3/4 times started in top 10 and finished in top 10. 2013 was a crazy year full of injuries, suspensions, 2 very bad officiating calls (leading to 1 ref reprimand) and a couple bad bounces of the ball.

Basically, we are pretty on point with pre-post rankings.

People have been ranking us in the top 15 all offseason but outside of our defense, I just don't see it unless our offensive line drastically improves outside of Tunsil. We're top 25 for sure but unless that area has improvement, we're not much better than that. We have a great set of receivers so our new quarterback will have easy targets to throw to. It's all a matter of how much time he has.

commenting on my own team, Auburn way too low. Will be closer to top 5. I'll say about #7 for Auburn.

I think state should be ranked, lot of offensive power returning and some real quality playmakers on defense. However, we've never been known to catch a lot of hype, so I'm not expecting it. Which is fine, I would rather be under rated than over for sure.

It's amazing how high of rankings you get coming off seasons where you weren't ranked at the end of the season.

Following seasons we finished NR, we were ranked #21, #22, and #8 (where we had a million injuries the season before, and finished 9th).

What high rankings those are!!! #21 and #22! So high!!! Amazing!

Eta: The fact that you think the polls will have Mississippi St. at 6 is absolutely hilarious.

anyone ranking us above the 15-20 range is on something. Top 15 might be right as the season goes on, but we haven't shown anything yet to warrant that ranking pre season.

I don't know if it is a mathematical possibility, but I have everyone going .500 this year. Bowls are gonna be fricked.

This must be a joke because Tennessee isn't here and Arkansas is at 11.

I agree, but it seems like a lot of preseason rankings do have us higher. I still doubt we see it in the AP, though.

I often think we start ranked too low, but this year we're probably receiving more respect then we deserve. Of course, I thought the same in 2011 and I was wrong, so hopefully I will be again.

I can't buy the Clemson hype, mayne. I don't either, but they always get some preseason love it seems.

Clemson def. does not get a lot of hype as compared to most of the SEC.

Clemson will have above average defense this year. Dabo is recruit well and we didn't lose entire defense. Our secondary should be one of the best.

Clemson has the best group of running backs it has in a long time plus at least 4 great WRs along with Watson at QB. They will put up points this year.

18. Missouri
19. Notre Dame
20. Arizona
