Pick one team that you think will be better than the pundits have predicted, and one that will be worse, not including your own team.

I will go with Texas A&M as the team that will overperform. I think they will lose to Clemson but it will be a dogfight, and they could possibly pull that one off at home. Even if they lose that game, I see them going 9-3 overall, 6-2 in conference. They will beat Arky, KY, USCe, MS State, Ole Miss and one of the remaining three out of Bama, AU and LSU, with the most likely being LSU since that is In College Station.

For the underperformer, I see that being Miss. State. Not that they will be bad, but they will go 4-4 in conference, with an 8-4 overall record. They will lose to AU, Bama, LSU and A&M.

I also think the West will be much better than the national media think with the top 5 being very close. Bama, AU, A&M, LSU and MSU will all have very strong defenses, and all of the games against each other may come down to where they are played. I think Elko at A&M was the most under the radar hire of the offseason.

It's going to be a long year for Chad Morris and Matt Luke against those defenses.

Better: A&M I agree. They have a competent coach that isn’t a drunk.

Worse: Auburn. They’re picked almost universally to win 10 games. Typically they’ll either do that and win the West or totally shite themselves and go 7-5 or 8-4.

I will add that I think it’s highly likely Auburn hits that 10 win year though. I just think it’s the most likely since, as you said, the West will be very good.

When people talk about A&M coaching, they say Jimbo, $75 million. Period. That overshadowed everything else that happened at A&M in the offseason. I'm saying that Elko may impact A&M as much as Jimbo this year.

I'm gonna jump on the USCe hype train. I see them beating Georgia.

Mississippi State will underperform the hype they're getting.

I assume you mean they will overperform. The key for them will be can they play defense this year.

The East is a complete crapshoot to me, including Georgia. I don't think it's a given that UGA wins the East, and a big reason for that is the fact that they have LSU (road game) and Auburn from the West. Also, they benefitted greatly from an incredibly weak East last year. The one time they played an elite team in the regular season, they got blasted at Auburn, and I mean blasted.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Mullen do way more this year than anyone thinks.

Alabama vs Georgia isn't the SEC Championship Game matchup

LSU doesn't make a bowl game.

1) Ole Miss wins the Egg Bowl and torpedoes Miss State's hopes at a nice bowl

2) I hate to say this but I honestly believe Aggies will have a weirdly great game against Bama and win

1). Joe Moorhead decides that it's too damn hot to play football in Starkville, Mississippi in September and leaves at the end of the season to move back North.

2). One of the broadcasters on an SEC game refers to Dan Mullen as a "Quarterback Whisperer", minutes before the UF QB (whoever it may be by that time) throws a pick 6.

Both LSU and Kentucky will be much better than is being predicted for them.

Either Mizzou or A&M will fall a game or two short of their predictions.

Arkansas has a chance to be better as well. They could pull an upset here or there.

Overperformer - South Carolina. I think they'll win around ten games in the regular season. Muschamp has the QB he could never find at Florida and has now gotten his defensive recruits in there.

Underperformer - LSU. Their defense should be nasty like always, but I think their offense will be atrocious. They're changing a lot of things schematically with an unknown offensive coordinator, they're replacing their QB with a guy that kept getting beat out by incoming freshman at OSU, and they lost a ton of production and talent from last year's offense. The outcome of the Miami game determines whether they go to a bowl or finish below .500 for the first time in nearly two decades.

Two surprises:

LSU-Burrow will do well and LSU could contend in the West.

South Carolina-They push for the East, but (hopefully) fall just short.

No under performer.

The thing is, UGA could lose to LSU and Auburn and still win the East. Your argument doesn't make much sense here.

Without Jerden Herrr, Auburn is a slightly above average team at best. We saw this in Atlanta when they got blasted, and I mean blasted.

LSU has home field advantage, but a questionable offense and an illiterate coach who should be wearing a diaper for how often he shitts his pants.

1. A&M will make a run in West, finish 1st or 2nd in West
2. Bama drops 2 games in West Div, finishes 3rd to 4th in West, D takes a hit this year.

*Western Div is complete bloodbath this year, Errrbody goin down.
