That and we hammered a Clemson team that I believe took down UGA, Arkansas, and AU correct?
You played them at home.
The others played them on the road.

We smashed them by like 20. The others lost. Not crowning us, but I'd put our wins against OSU, Clemson, and ISU up against anyone in the SEC not named Kentucky.

No doubt. Clemson is known for having one of the most intimidating basketball venues in all of CBB. We won by 23. I don't think home court would have done much to change that.
eta: Yeah you're right about the mix-up, I knew it was 3 SEC teams, just assumed UGA was the 3rd. And LSU played them at a neutral site, not at Clemson.
eta2: Clemson lost to Rutgers and Winthrop @Clemson, so again.. the home court excuse is kind of moot.

In reality we all know Kentucky will finish first - all the other shite we don't know, we are talking about SEC basketball after all..

We open conference play v Arky and @ LSU. Will report back after those 2 games.

You lost to Charlotte, Akron, and Baylor, so far.
2 of those are bad losses.
You have a few decent wins, but so do other SEC teams outside of UK like LSU and Arkansas, difference is those two do not have any bad losses entering SEC play.

By a combined 7 points. Plus, as I mentioned earlier, the team has mentioned that those back to back losses to Charlotte and Akron are what woke the team up and are the reason why we have been winning by an average of 20+ in the 7 games since.

Why outside of winning the SECT you will be in the NIT.

Vandy will finish 6 or 7. We have a better team than Ranters are aware of. And next year, watch out!

We could finish 3rd or 4th in the SEC and still get the NIT.

Yes.
If this was to occur, you could see a team like LSU and UGA finish behind you and make the Tourney.
Right now there are 5 SEC teams with legit tourney chances (UK, Ark, LSU, UGA, FL) Florida has good numbers in Kenpom, but no quality wins in the non-con and will need to do serious work in conference to pick up any of the few quality wins while avoiding the several potential bad losses.
Bama is close to being in the mix as well.

uga is going to the tourney barring an awful collapse. Pretty favorable conference schedule as well

Serious question: What are Arkansas' three best wins?

SMU - RPI 25
Dayton - RPI 18
Iona - RPI 75
and Clemson is not a good win, but it's a bad loss. RPI is in the 150's.

It'll be a real crapshoot.
Full SEC slate plus the tournament to go, but with the OOC schedule done it looks like the SEC could have 4-5 teams squarely on the bubble. (perhaps the #2 or #3 behind UK pull away in the standings) leaving a few teams playing for their NCAA tournament lives in the SEC tournament.

My RPI rank has SMU around 50 and Iona at 90ish. Dayton is a good win. The other two are really meh.
Posted on 1/4/15 at 11:35 am to the808bass
@SMU Dayton and iona/N.Texas
Posted on 1/4/15 at 11:37 am to the808bass
Arkansas and Louisville are the only teams to win at SMU in 2+ years, that was a quality win
Posted on 1/4/15 at 11:38 am to the808bass
They vary depending on which one you look at. That's why RPI is stupid.
