They dropped two before even seeing the meat of their schedule. Not hard to figure out if you ask me.

Ole Miss - W disagree with your L

Alabama - BLOWOUT L agree-Bama wins big and the Tigers dreams once again die on Sat night in Death Valley

Arkansas - L hangover from the Bama beatdown

Florida - W - with bowl eligibility on the line LSIXU Etsiah the win in the Hurricane sympathy bowl

Texas A&M - loss TAMU breaks the streak

Final record 6-5

Coach Moeaux is retained when they get turned down by their first 3 choices. Saban, Jimboeaux and Hermeauxn

LSU may beat us Saturday, but I just don't see how they beat Bama. Bama will key in on the run with trying to stop Fournette and Guice. Etling is not a good enough QB to beat Bama with his arm. With the game being in BR is a plus for LSU, but I just can't see LSU beating Bama this year.

Arkansas' rush defense isn't what it was a year ago.

LSU should win that game.

LSU should keep getting better as the season goes along. Any time an LSU fan says they think we should have a strong finish to the season, it just opens it up for constant trolling, and that's fine. I think LSU is a good team, and will finish 4-1 to end the season; and also give Alabama their toughest game of the season.

So yeah.

close to what I think Bayou

I really don't care what the stupid people outside of Louisiana think

Coach O is pushing the right buttons and LF7 with G5 are ready to truck

D is getting better and Danny will pass just enough to make it all work

After we beat Bama we will be favored in every game we play out - a 2 loss SEC Champ - not sure how that will play out

I don't think we'll win, but I think it will be close.

You are right. I don't think anyone expects Etling to sling the ball all over the field against Alabama like Mettenberger did in 2012. Hopefully he won't be throwing the ball down the field too much. His arm isn't very strong, and it could lead to some turnovers (which, as we've seen, can lead to defensive touchdowns against Alabama).

Alabama doesn't seem to be any more susceptible to the run this season than in years past, statistically. However, LSU will likely run the ball better (at home) than they did last year against Alabama. If Fournette can average 4 yards/carry, that would be huge. Hopefully, that would open up the play-action passes to the sideline. We have to give Etling easy throws on 1st or 2nd down, to avoid 3rd and longs.

LSU has a good defense. Not great, but definitely good. We have an elite pass rusher, and a very good secondary. I think the 3-4 defense (though we have been running a lot of 4-3 too) is actually a good match-up with Alabama, ever since they've moved away from their more traditional pro-style offense (pre-Kiffin). I think everyone knows by now that the key to beating Alabama is keeping the quarterback in the pocket and making him make some throws. You can't let the zone read or run/pass option kill you, and you have to avoid the big play. You also have to cover the tight end. There really are quite a few ways they can beat you, but the way you want to make them beat you is throwing the ball from the pocket.

I think it'll be another low-scoring game in Tiger Stadium, relative to the points Alabama has been putting up this season. Something like 24-17 or 24-20.

I agree with all of that. Mett could definitely sling it all over the place and win games with his arm. I have watched Etling and he leaves many balls in the air for way too long. Good secondaries are going to feast on that. For LSU to beat Bama they have to get the run game going. But, I can see it being close like you said.

Whatever you say. Time will tell. But, I find your assessment to be very inaccurate. Like I said....time will tell.

I enjoy your takes I want you to know I that my post on the Rant do not reflect who I am as a football fan. LOL

On these sites the stupid is so rampant I gave up years ago. Ole Miss is caught in the middle with what they have going on right now. Your up tempo puts you in games and with the right players you guys are monsters. Your up tempo wins but drains your D - you need about 3 deep up front top level SEC linemen that are what LSU/Bama/Auburn/Gators/Dawgs all seek out each year. Just like Coach Miles had a lack of balance Ole Miss has a lack of balance. Run the Ball / Stop the Run

You have the best QB and passing game but lack the balance

I think Lsu wins by 20 Saturday - we shall see

Bama - like I said - War

they are monsters - Saban is the football master in all areas - you have to beat Bama and man up against Bama with
a QB that can make plays !!!

Haha well I appreciate that. I will say that y'all could win by 20 if our defense is on the field too long and if we don't protect Chad. You're absolutely right about our offense though. It's a double edged sword. It's great to score so quick, but when we don't have a ton of depth on defense it does hurt us. I think we could win or lose by 20 Saturday. Just depends on who shows up!

Hurts has surprised me. Didn't think he would make the plays he has all year. It will be a war. I am interested to see how CEO gameplans for Bama. Everyone and their mother knew what Leslie was going to do. And maybe CEO'a game plan is the recepie LSU needs against Bama. Who knows brotha? But I do know it'll be a war like you said!
