LSU'S LB Corp is impressive. The large class of highly touted small fast LBS Chavis recruited 3 years ago have grown up.

Probably both. I can't believe he has been able to pull in three crystal balls while here.

Losses
@AU
@UF
Bama
9-3 in transition yr with TR FR QB. Not bad IMO.

Once again this has nothing to do with what we are talking about Gumpy, but way to deflect.
His corners were good when he was LSU, borderline elite, but they have better much better (elite) since he left too.

Not really, Collins did get passed up by more talented freshmen. However, last time i checked he is still a first rounder on WalterFootball's mock

This game is more of a toss-up than people think. A lot of inexperience on both sides of the ball. The game will probably be ugly, and somebody is going to have a WTF moment at some point in the game. In my dreams, Brandon Harris comes in late in the game, runs circles around Bucky, and wins the game plus the starting job.

Chalk it up now. There is still a game to be played, and Auburn's line and running game may not be quite as good, but this is probably a loss.

Tough call. On one hand, the game is in Gainesville and their D could do what they did to us in 2012. On the other hand, Florida's offense is terrible and we have Brandon Harris who seems to be able to escape from just about anybody (who really should start from game 1, but that is jmho).

I think we win a payback game. But that is more of a hunch than anything.

If Brandon Harris isn't starting by the Alabama game I'm gonna cry because Bama has shown susceptibility against really good running QBs. With Bama also replacing their signal caller, this might be our year.

I could actually see this happening. It has happened plenty before. Derp.

Not a chance in hell we lose to A&M. First of all, A&M just lost three first round draft picks off the offense. Secondly, we owned those guys anyways. And if we do actually lose to Arkansas, we'll come out and blow A&M out of the water (see Les Miles record after a loss).
Record: 10-2, but Auburn heads to the CCG and the inaugural playoff. LSU builds for 2015 in bowl game.

Uses the excuse after losing game 1 to Wisconsin, "we only play for National Championships."

I was told they would shut our WRs down

The Jalens flopped, no doubt. That forced our D to go through some growing pains last year. But down the stretch we settled in the White and Robinson, and those guys look pretty legit. White is relatively polished for a true soph. Robinson is rough around the edges but he's got an imposing physical presence.
LSU's secondary should put up better numbers than last year. I think we can probably agree on that without making any claims about who will "shut down" who.

Anyone who questions Robinson needs to youtube the LSU vs aTm game

Yes I agree. I didn't think your secondary was the problem. Your DLine and LBs were disappointing

Which is being very generous to Mills. And now he has switched to safety so you can throw out any predictions based on him playing corner.
I think he'll end up as a middle rounder - a slot corner who can blitz and play safety. He's a solid player, but not a reliable boundary corner.

Dline was disappointing for sure. We are looking for more out of Hunter, and by all reports he was much improved in Spring practice. Personally, I don't think Rasco lived up to the hype - he's a slowish big bodied DE.
And our DTs really underperformed. That showed when "Freak" went undrafted. But we've got some talent there among the younger guys - Lacouture, Bain, Herron, Gilmore. Hopefully they show a little more hunger out there than Johnson and Ferguson did.

Mad hatter returns to form.
11-1
The 8-4's are funny though. Last time that happend we had two, yes TWO D coordinators and pick 6 Lee..
Realistically 9-3 - 10-2 is safe money. The D will not be 2008 bad. Not even close. It will be far better than last year, especially in the LB/Secondary. Can't get any worse on the D'line.
LSU also has the 2nd best O'line in the SEC (behind AU) Strong running game plus Top Tier SEC D (No worse than top 3) and there you have a 10-2 season or a goofy 3rd loss somewhere.
If for some odd chance our QB isn't a turd, 11-1 could happen.

The only teams on our schedule I'm concerned about is @AU, @UF and bama, but I won't make any real prediction until I at least know who the starting qb is going to be and see how we play against Wis. We don't know exactly what this teams going to be like yet, but if our D gets back to LSU D, then all we need is a game manager cause we're going to run the ball A LOT with the inexperience at qb/wr.
