8-4 with their normal qb play

11-1, or even12-0 if they get great qb play

I agree with this. I might say 9-3 with average QB play, but if LSU can fix their achilles heel there, they are a playoff team.

List the losses if you're not trolling. They only lost 3 with below average QB play last year.

I know you were replying to Sarge, but it's not outside the realm of reason that LSU could have 4 losses if the QB play isn't very good:

Wisky
Bama
Ole Miss
Arky
Maybe A&M? (not by recent standards though)

Look on the bright side. Y'all are stacked everywhere else. Not many teams can say that.

It's not that hard, see Cougs post above

LSU has not lost an OOC game under Miles, is vastly more talented, and took Wisconsin's best coach.

Not likely.

All possibles.

I'm asking you to list the games you think LSU will lose if you think they will lose 4. Not possibles.

Apparently it is that hard. Don't give me possibles since you're predicting 4 losses with average QB play. Actually list them.

I would have listed Florida as well

I think LSU has much greater odds of going 14-0 than 7-5 but if I'm going to give you what I think the ceiling is why am I attacked for also saying what might be the floor?

Don't care. Saban and Bert both seem to have LSU figured out.

08-09 was a similar stretch to 14-15 for LSU, 8 then 9 wins. People said miles will never beat Saban or Meyer again.

He went 11-2 and 13-1 in 10/11, with 2 victories against saban and Meyer each

We will bounce back

I'm not attacking you. I simply asked you to list the games so I can give counter points for a decent discussion. Don't be so sensitive.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but I've seen nothing to say with confidence that LSU will beat Alabama or Arkansas.

11-1

Lost to Bama. Still good enough to make it to the college playoff though.

But I didn't say this, I said LSUs normal qb play

If you get average qb play I would set the floor at 9-3 or maybe even 10-2

We'll all just have to sit tight and see if Harris has advanced his game

We are in the same boat, Trevor's abilities could mean the difference between 7-5 and 10-2. Great qb play for you will get you a championship, it might get us to 10-2

Fair enough. Just showing an example I think is relevant to that train of thought.

08-09 we saw nothing to give us confidence les would ever beat bama or UF again. Funny thing is we had the same QBs in 08-09 (0-4 vs UA/UF) and 10-11 (when miles went 4-1 vs that duo). DC hire is what turned us around. Enter Dave Aranda...

We are talking about the upcoming season. All we have is possibles. There is no ironclad guarantee on anything. All there is, is speculation. It is highly possible that LSU could lose 4 games with poor QB play. It is highly possible LSU could go to the playoffs with good QB play.

LSU is not night-and-day the best team in college football. They are very good with one big question mark.

Jesus dude. I'm asking who YOU think LSU will lose to. You listed 5 teams and I can give you solid reasons why 2 of those are highly unlikely, just like you can give me solid reasons why 3 of them are likely losses. I want your 4 teams you think LSU will lose to if the QB play does improve.

This is why decent discussion never happens on this board. I'll do aTm to see if we can get on the same page:

8-4

Losses at AU, home to UT, at Bama and home to LSU.

AU clips aTm early only because it's at home and they are built to exploit the weakness of Chavis' D. Which is a mobile QB couple with a running game that attacks between the tackles.

UT for same reason as AU. Offense that exploits Chavis' weakness.

Bama just based on talent.

LSU because I'm slightly a homer, but I also think they are more talented.

Hayden Rettig. Redshirt junior transfer from Purdue. Nothing special.

ETA: Crown is correct. Danny Etling is the Purdue tranfer, not Rettig. My bad.
