I think AJ has a chance to be a very very good NFL Quarterback. He is criminally underrated.

I think if he gets into the right system behind the right line, he could lead a team to the playoffs.

He's an outstanding decision maker with the football which is a rare commodity at any level. He may not have a Jeff George or JaMarcus Russell arm but neither did Joe Montana. I don't think he'll be that good but he has all the tools you need. He's not a noodle arm by any stretch, he can make the throws and has decent accuracy from what i've seen. I'm no scout but I would take him in the first round if i were an NFL team that needed a QB.

Yeah, uh... I don't think he'll be that good either.

In all seriousness, I think that may be one of his bigger saving graces. He makes great decisions in the pocket. Granted, he's usually behind a brick wall with time to make them, but then again, what good pro-style QB isn't made better by their line?

So, where do you see him after he's completed his NFL career.

More of a Phil Simms type - 30,000 yards, 200 TDs
or
Joe Montana - 40,000 yards, 250 TDs

Depends a lot on the kind of organization he gets drafted into. But yeah he's more of a Phil Simms type guy. I was just using the Joe example for effect and also because he was knocked for his lack of arm strength coming out of college.

I can see that. I'm not sure he'll achieve the level of success Simms had. I hope he does, but it's a valid comparison nonetheless.

If I had to guess, I would pick him to be like a Joe Flacco or Matt Ryan. He will need a good line and some very good receivers. The "game manager" label may be seen as a bad thing, but I think guys who are very good at it can be extremely effective with an appropriate supporting cast. McCarron makes very good decisions, so as long as he does not end up on a shitty team looking for a savior QB who can win games all on his own, AJ will be a good starting QB who might pick up a Pro Bowl nod or two.

Agree, and I would be very happy for him if he can blow through with that kind of success.

I bet you would love to have those stats, along with 11 years worth of NFL checks.

A.J.s stats:
85,000 yards passing
477 passing TD's and 23 rushing TD's, 5 interceptions 3 fumbles.
5 Super Bowl title, 2 runner ups.
5 MVP's.

I sack as a last second emergency L.B.
