If he puts on much more weight and drops a little speed the wonderlic would come back into focus should he need to move to safety have to read the offense (pre snap)and be the QB of the DB's.
does reading the offense include doing algebra, geometry problem solving, or whatever the frick else the wonderlic tests for?

Who is really surprised though? Most football players are dumb as shite at every school even Vandy. Single digits unacceptable though that shite is borderline functional retard. PP doesn't come off in interviews as a retard. Those test are culturally biased.

Isn't this test mostly math and patterns or all math? I know a lot of people who are very smart but suck at math.

If they were absolutely sure that these kids were dumb and it would affect their ability to pickup a gameplan they would have put their names out to the public(especially if it were public media type scouts like McShay,Kiper,Mayock etc).McShay went to an Ivy League caliber school at Richmond and he's as "dumb" at his job as just about anyone i've ever seen.Sounds like some sad,old bitter men to me that aren't man enough to stand by those statements for fear of being publicly wrong or losing access to these 2 "dumb" kids.Peterson was considered easily the most personable and impressive kid in his interviews with the media.Doesn't sound like a dumb person to me.If any of you ever saw the Demar Dorsey interview during the Under Armour practices last year(2010) then you've seen a kid that sounds dumb and has the grades to back it up.

"Peterson plays like a low-test guy," one NFL decision maker told PFW on the condition he remain anonymous, But I don't like the way he plays with his back to the ball. He has an instinct issue, and I think it's tied to his mental (ability). He can only handle so much. He's not a quick processor. It's a scary year to be drafting in the top 10 because they all have some issue."

x2.
"Oh no...I don't think we'll draft Peterson or Green. Sure, they're physcial beasts and two of the top 5 players in this draft but they can't calcualte the square root of 321,231,312 and isn't that what really makes a football player good."
