Yeah I'm pretty pumped as well. It's probably my favorite game of the year honestly.

You can count forward or backward (I already did), if you count by five starting now or in 1894 LSU leads in all 5 year periods. Son, thats winning early , often and in-between.

It wasn't fair of him to count the 3-5 and 0-2 evenly, and it is an exaggeration to call it three centuries, although literally true. The point he was trying to make, is that historically (and currently) if you were objective, and had to pick a team to beat Bama out of LSU or OM, it'd be smarter to pick LSU generally (not every year, but our program has done better against them, and since that's the current argument, lets stick with it, we'll talk about TN later), if you had to pick, try and argue that one.

The post season is not all that matters. The regular season is the point of playing. It's about a season of triumphs and losses and fun, not just one game (don't get me wrong, that one game is important, but not the end all be all) LSU has won just as many bowl games as Ole Miss, but Ole Miss has a higher win percentage? So LSU has been to more games, even if they lost? If the post season is all that matters then going and losing still has to be better than not going at all. Also Ole Miss hasn't won a Natty since schools were integrated. I feel like that counts for something.

I'm sorry not everyone in my state can argue.

All that being said, LSU did not get up for the Ole Miss game and y'all beat us. And that counts. We never get that one back, so congratulations for being the better team that week.

But do not pretend that because you played better by one field goal in your own house that weekend you were the better team overall last season (against Bama, or anyone else), because Auburn, A&M, and MSU have something to say, and UGA would too if y'all had played. And don't pretend you're going to Waltz into Death Valley and not have the Tigers sick their teeth in your neck and not let go for 60 minutes after what y'all did to us last year. It'll be a fun game, see you in the Valley. (FWIW, y'all are our homecoming game. Now THAT is confidence.)
