Y'all act like the NBA was invented in 2002 and fricked up your baseball stadium so bad you have to rob your taxpayers to build another one, in the same shitty location surrounded by a Wal Mart, Buffalo Wild Wings and miles of surface parking lots. Sad state of affairs

Arlington tax payers are getting robbed, I guess, but that's no skin off my back. And the Wal-Mart allows for SUPER easy access to beer when the Ags play the Hogs.

but Cumberland Mall is sketch city. My point is, the idea that "riff raff" only show up on trains is ridiculous.

No doubt about it and don't go there much. The same could be said for Atlantic Station.

Sadly, that would've been the ideal place for Turner Field from the start.Perfect location and the land at the time could have been purchased at relativly inexpensive price.

There are more A&M alum in Houston than any of school, including UH, Rice, and the other universities in the city. Plus it is only 90 mi away (less if you're counting the burbs)

It's still largely a commuter school. They still have like 8,000 part time undergrads.

yes but commuter schools tend to be people who plan to stay in the same area after college.

True. Or people getting part time graduate degrees, looking to transfer, or people that don't really have an affinity for sports teams. The majority of U of H people fall in to one of many non-traditional categories, IMO. I mean the Big 12 chose TCU, and they only have about 8,000 undergrads.

Detroit has about 50,000 empty houses. Nearly 1 in 5 are abandoned.

I'm really surprised this hasn't turned into an LSU vs Aggies thread by now.

It's because so many Louisianans run from their hell hole to Houston and Dallas, they are just thankful we exist. Louisiana is so terrible they don't even know how bad Houston is in contrast.
