I agree with this statement for all teams except Stanford. I do not dislike Stanford at all despite all their recent success. I have the utmost respect for Jim Harbaugh and David Shaw for making Stanford football relevant.

Pretty much. Hollywood has actively taught kids to hate winners.

What? Are you... are you blaming Hollywood for... what?

Know who hated Alabama during 2000-2006? No one. God, it feels good to be hated.

Exactly, he just had to point that out and try to diminish it cause it didn't say Alabama was the most liked team.

what has ND been doing right? I feel as if they are hated because they are treated above the rest of college football. ND is like the Cubs to me, random people love them, but no one knows why.

Nobody cares about ND except ND fans. They're irrelevant.

This is what really sucks about trant. He said "Auburn's the most liked team in the SEC according to that" as in, that proves that of all the teams in the SEC auburn is the most liked. Well, as you pointed out, it could also mean "Auburn's the most like team of the people who took that poll." I could have just ignored the fact that what I said might have been wrong. I could have just moved on and let it go. That's why conversation sucks here.

By the way, witness the "Bama has beaten X number of number 1 teams" thread yesterday for PLENTY of diminishing because it pointed out how great a program Bama is

"according to that[Redit survey]"

What he said was correct, you would have to take it another way in order for it not to be. You repeated what he stated, as if you were trying to correct his statement, when in fact all you did was rephrase it

Like I said. I could have just moved on & not said anything like 99.9% of people on here do when they are proven wrong.

not anymore, it's LSU.

everything is timing and all that matters is who has the most hardware when Jesus Christ Splits the Eastern Sky. LSU a hundred years ago had more Football Championships than Bama, so who knows what it will be when my redeemer I shall see.

What about roy Williams breaking the ncaa bylaws having contact with lester earl, and north Carolina hiring said cheating roy Williams. in this case North Carolina is doing something wrong.

An amendment for the nit pickers:

1. In regards to ND, FRICK them and their entitled arses. They got to a MNC because of name alone and a phenom named Teo that was every bit as one dimensional as the team as a whole.

2. Regarding the phrase in general, winning puts a bullseye on your back. In the case of NC and it's litany of violations, winning SANS cheating, puts a target on your back. When caught cheating, you're just a cheater.
