I do thoroughly enjoy how you called this guy you're arguing with an idiot and then most people disagreed with you. What in your opinion was the best game? I'm assuming you're going to say the Iron Bowl but maybe I'm wrong.

Bama vs UGA SEC championship game was the best game I have ever attended and just as good when I watched on DVR. It was a basically a national semi final game and it was a slugfest for 60 minutes.

Other than USC-Texas 05, this is without question. Surprised how many people forget about this game.

Most hard hitting football game I have ever seen.

That game reminded me of the 3-2 game. It should not be listed.

The USC, Texas game nationally was just awesome - and it meant so much. The Bama/Auburn game in 1985 is the greatest game I've ever seen. Period.

Auburn, with this past year's win, now has their last-minute winning game to hang on to for the rest of their lives . . . sorta like Bama fans do with this:

You're an idiot if you think that 9-6 game was good.

In terms of level of play throughout, on both sides of the ball, and coaching stategery that came into play, the best game I've ever watched was the '12 SECCG.

Of the others, the 2006 UTx-Southern Cal BCSCG was probably the best game to watch, although there wasn't much for fans of good defense. I wouldn't pick the '02 BCSCG because of the bogus PI call, but it was a great game up until that point. If Tha U had won I probably would have voted it #1. LSU-Bama '11 was too much on the defensive side.

I didn't watch the '13 IB, just listened to the AU radio broadcast. And I wouldn't have done it any other way.

The Bama/Auburn game in 1985
A great game, it's true, but also a contest between two also-rans in a down year for the SEC.

AU's big wins were over 9-3 F$U and 9-2-1 GA Tech. Prior to the IB, we had lost to the only two above-average SEC teams we played, UT and Florida. Our most impressive Conference win was over a 7-win UGa squad in Athens. Likewise, Bama's biggest SEC win prior to beating us was the wierd Labor Day contest with UGa, where the Dawgs took the lead in the final minutes with a blocked punt return TD, only to give up a long TD drive to Shula in the final seconds. The Tide lost to both UT and eventual MNC Penn State, and tied 9-2-1 LSU.

Like I said, a terrific, gut-wrenching game to watch, full of last second-drama, but with absolutely nothing but pride on the line. Frankly, the following season's IB (the Tillman Reverse game) was it's equal in terms of excitement and prestige, and had a much greater impact on the two programs than '85 did.
