Love how the troll got shown the No-Hitter MLB references, then just packed up and moved his goalposts by switching up his argument by saying, "Well it's not as impressive as a 9 inning no-hitter." Yet the LSU Fans in this thread-of which I am one-still take the troll bait.

A no-hitter is a no-hitter. Everything else is editorializing and hot-taking. Jared Poche threw a no-hit gem this past weekend. The first time anyone has done something similar since the year I was born, and I turned 38 in January.

It was a fantastic performance. LSU Fans are rightfully happy for a four year, Louisiana born and bred stalwart that's been grinding for our Tigers on the Diamond his entire career. Focusing on anything else is losing focus on the subject of the OP and giving a troll a chuckle.

I always thought a no-hitter meant 9 innings.

NINE INNINGS

quote:

An official no-hit game occurs when a pitcher (or pitchers) allows no hits during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings. In a no-hit game, a batter may reach base via a walk, an error, a hit by pitch, a passed ball or wild pitch on strike three, or catcher's interference.

A great performance though.

Sorry A&M didn't have a no hitter like LSU did.

We've seen 6 of them by LSU pitchers.

I cannot say how often it happens at most schools, but A&M is at 12 (I think).

Regardless, like my original posts says. Great job by Poche. He's a stud. I'm not sure where that got lost in translation and angered some over sensitive fans.

Yep. The same as the number of National Championships.
