You think you are. OM definitely does not have the linemen or running backs to run a Les Miles offense. You would get slaughtered by every team you played.

Would be poetic justice for Shea Patterson

No, Les lost all of his common sense about 4 or 5 years ago. At least O is already trying to adapt to modern football. A blind Jr high coach can outcaoch and make les look silly right now.

It would be a better hire than LSU made.

ahh, will you still say this when the real Tigers kick your arse in Tiger Stadium this year? you will have to eat your words; fortunately for you, you have a limited vocabulary.

It's going to be really hard for a top coach to want in knowing how wide spread the violations are. No coach in their right mind would want to take a chance of destroying their resume knowing it's likely to happen again. A coach killing job.

ole miss has never attracted a "top coach". I think a very good coach might take the job understanding it is kind of an "interim" job. O'Brien at Penn State is an example. Les Miles would be perfect for the job as he can restore integrity to the program and would probably recruit pretty well so the next guy won't have a bare cupboard to work with.

it would also be funny that Ole Miss would then end up paying Miles' buyout.

I know his buy out is rather large, but I would hope that there is a clause in his contract that would cut down on that cost for a case like this.

I am sure his contract has a morals clause and a compliance clause that renders him nothing if the program gets major sanctions against it due to his actions or just being in charge at the time of said issues. If not then Ole Miss is the worst contract negotiators ever.

That would be called "Fired for Cause" which most all contracts have as base language.

Les Miles at a school with less talent than everyone else due to recruiting sanctions. What could go wrong?

Honestly, wouldn't be a bad idea. The Ol' Grass Eater never brought any sanction heat to LSU. Likable guy. Ole Miss' filed is synthetic though, so it may cause him to have digestion problems.

They'll use the program destruction and the impossible situation that it presents as an opportunity to make their first diversity hire.
