They wanted to make sure that UCLA would bring their 200 fans back to Omaha.

Loved shutting down UCLA at their place earlier in the year.

Hey farmer...IF you knew ANYTHING about how the selection "process" works....you would NOT be spouting off about how you ags were a lock or deserved a top 8 seed !
The selectors don't want any conference to dominate the process, they want to "spread" the seeded teams out to expand interest. Given those FACTS...a 4th place finish in conference....ANY conference will no longer get you a top seed.....understand now ?

A 4th place finish just like say Florida. Oops. More failed logic.

Arizona State is about to build a ridiculous stadium. after partnering with the Cubs. I know Arizona moved into a minor league park, albeit it's not new.

I'm pretty sure that deal fell through. ASU just signed on to play at Phoenix Municipal for the next 20-something years i believe...

Loved the idea though...

Polk had no say in 2005. Plus, we were a 2 seed in Miami and LSU hosted a Regional. Check your years

He was referring to 2006 but I already corrected him on the Templeton deal so I didn't wanna call him out on the year as well... Just be glad that MSU's baseball team was brought up in a 2015 postseason thread.

So USC will probably win UCSB's regional ... I don't expect OM to have the pitching to win the UCLA regional but let's say we do... Who would get to host the SR between us and USC ? I know they have an incredible history when it comes to the diamond but do they have a huge fan following ? Surely the committee would give us the Super cause we would sell 8000+ tickets to each game.

Damn OSU lucked out getting matched up with MSU. They're basically a national seed since I don't think MSU can host a super unless the go on the road somewhere close by.

actually, Missouri State has a badass stadium after partnering with a minor league team. In fact it's easily one of the nicest parks of the hosting teams

SIAP, but Mo State can't host a Super.

We finished 6th in the conference, 4 wins above .500 overall and went 1 and done in Hoover... The committee didn't exactly owe us any favors.

The draw is difficult due to Maryland's ace we'll face in game 1 and UCLA's loaded pitching staff but if we somehow find a way to win it our chances of bringing a Super to Oxford are pretty good.

The park itself is JUCO as hell and there will be less than 1000 Bruins in the stands for the games... Won't make for a very intimidating atmosphere.
