Even LSU's defense could have won with a 4&goal from the 31.

You must be a communist. Seeking mediocrity.

Birmingham, AL is by far the biggest market for watching college football. The playoffs will lose Bama fan interest and Auburn fans wanting to see Bama lose. The common SEC fan also won’t be tuned in as intently.

I for one welcome a new crop of teams in the playoff, but I think ratings drop without an SEC team.

Is that why you want the barn to play in the Birmingham Bowl?

Highest rated NC game in the playoff era was 2014… the lone game NOT featuring an SEC team, Ohio State vs Oregon.

SEC country comes in strong no matter what. When other regions are involved the ratings are the highest.

This, having teams from West, SW, Upper Midwest and SE is actually a good draw for country interest, especially with 3 well known nationally college brands and 1 with a strong fan base and some history.
