Wow Ohio State could easily back their way into this playoffs if Michigan State loses next weekend.

We could get that rematch afterall

Who the hell cares? If Florida can somehow miraculously beat FSU and Bama in back to back weeks, were in the playoffs. No one remembers who came in 12th vs 8th place in last years final rankings.

I do know that the season is in front of us. Win and we're in.

Beat FSU and move to 6 or 7, beat Bama and move into the Top 4. It's that simple. But again, no consistency with this committee. If you're going to count close losses, you should look at each team's close losses to shitty teams. A lot of those teams had multiple games the same we did. Shouldn't matter that they were in the last 3 games.

Florida at 12 is a fricking joke. At worst should be have been 10th. Michigan and Stanford ahead of us? Comon. No consistency with this committee.

I kinda agree. Eye test is ugly, but there's no denying how impressive 10-1 is in the SEC. If they win out and don't make the playoffs, blood will run in the streets. Maybe.

OTOH, we know the committee has no problems moving teams around over a far greater range than the polls do, so 12th probably doesn't mean anything. They could move UF from 12th to 4th without blinking an eye if UF wins out.

Totally agree

Find me another 1 loss team with this number of close wins against bad teams

#79 - ECU (31-24)
#71 - Kentucky (14-9)
#77 - Vanderbilt (9-7)
#66 - South Carolina (24-14)
#98 - FAU (20-14)

I mean come on. Maybe Florida could argue they should be around 9 instead of 11, but is there really any difference there?

Except 4 of those 7 wins were against Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri and Vanderbilt. Those 4 teams are 4 of the worst 10 or 15 Power 5 teams in the country.

I think Florida has massively overachieved, love Coach Mac and think they will give FSU and then us fits, but they aren't getting screwed here.

So if USCe takes out Clumpson and MSU will drag its nutsack over Iowa's face that leaves one spot open?

For who?

Yea, the team that just lost to The Citadel is going to turn around and beat Clemson.

Has Auburn ever stopped an undefeated Alabama before?

No idea, but it's not relevant this year. Bama's not undefeated.

Agreed, I'd have dropped Florida a lot farther. You guys are awful.

It's a moot point anyway. You're going to get absolutely blown out these last two games.

The one I'm iffy on being ahead of UF is Michigan.

Their best wins: #16 Northwestern, 8-3 BYU, 7-4 PSU

Their losses: #7 MSU, @#23 Utah

Their SOS: #39

Compared to Flordia

Florida's best wins: #18 Ole Miss, 8-3 Georgia, 7-4 Tennessee

Florida's loss: @ 7-3 LSU

Florida's SOS: #30

Pretty similar, no? Well, besides the 2 losses for UM.

They're going by the eye test too much IMO. No way Michigan should be 4 spots higher than UF.

In a year in which they lost to a 3 loss 1AA team the week before? No.

the past 3 performances Florida put up would not have garnered wins vs anybody who is currently bowl eligible.

Florida is clearly diminished on offense with treon harris QB. your coach compared your players to dead fish. who ahead of you in the rankings do you feel good about beating right now?

No one to be honest. We started -3 against FSU. Now it's +2.

We have looked like the worst 10-1 team I've seen in a while. I'd like to win the next 4 but don't expect to win any. IMHO

Stanford got shut out by a crappy Big 10 team and has struggled multiple times this season, Michigan has lost to the only good teams they've played.
