Playing A&M is a different experience.

When the Aggies come to town it is a little strange. The fans are perfectly nice but mostly keep to themselves. They have weird chanting cheers, odd male cheerleaders who have some very strange moves, and a band that is interesting for a few minutes (because of all the cool marching) but that soon turns into something akin to a band in the veterans day parade playing marches from the 1940s. I can only imagine what it would be like to play there. Maybe one day.

Whatever floats your boat. Variety is the spice o' life.

My parents always taught me to be kind to the elderly so I won't give you my actual thoughts on this thread.

Went to an LSU/aggie game years ago, asked a student for the one thing to see on campus or in the area. He referenced a DQ as being famous. They do march to their own drum, pun intended. On the flip side, we did hear "HOWDY" about 1001 times.

I think that's the greatest thing I've read in a while.
Not sure we even have a DQ in CS?
No offense towards you at all, but it sounds like you found the trolling, non-hospitable Aggie.

On Texas just north of SW. I lived over there so after failing an exam and dipped cone would lift my spirits.

But it sounds like this dude was trolling you and you took the bait hook line and sinker. (to Keltic)

There's one on Texas by Southwest Pkwy. But there's no possible way it is famous.

Aggie fans have been great the 3 times they have come to town. Not sure what this is about.

You really have to be careful with aggies.

There's a saying about them, they're either at your feet or at your throat.

Keeping your boot on their necks is the best way to deal with them.

You could say that about most fanbases. Including LSU.

What?
How have I never been there--particularly since it's famous!
Gonna have to look for the ol' Texas Stop sign next time I'm there.

Being great and odd are not mutually exclusive.

This is a perfect description of my experience from them in 2012. I found it pretty odd.

I really liked their band but there is something definitely disquieting about it. The marching precision, the jackboots, the military music.
