This is my idea of solving the problem that I've never seen anybody suggest.

I'd be fine with losing a home game this year if it gave UF an extra home game next year.

Actually, here's the solution:

quote:

If the game is necessary to decide a winner of either division, it will be played on 11/19. If both Florida and LSU are non-factors after 11/12, the game won't be rescheduled.

Problem is UF was adamant about playing in Gainesville. Wouldn't consider any other option and that killed any hope for this game.

That really seems too easy. They have to make things much more difficult don't you realize that.

Except this is still unfair to LSU because of the scheduling for that week.

No. This would mean UF vs LSU would be played tomorrow.

Doesn't matter if it's unfair. If the game needs to be played, for SECCG purposes, it will happen on 11/19. If not, it won't be rescheduled at all.

This really isn't that difficult.

The solution is to ensure LSU loses a game for the second straight year, consequences be damned. That seems to be the best Florida is capable of.

As long as UF covers for LSU's lost revenue next year, I am good with that. The local businesses still get screwed but at least they could plan for that.

How the frick will they know a week before the season ends? A&M might determine who is going to the dome. So dumb. SEC needs to move championship game back a week and schedule LSU Florida for December 3rd. frick losing a home game.

How would you know if it's necessary at that time? LSU still has a conference game to play.

Already offered to play in BR this year and give UF the next to games in Gainesville, your AD said NO.

Why on earth would he do that? It makes perfect sense. Just flip-flop the games. Nobody loses anything in the long run.

Foley is a giant POS. This game could have been played on sunday or monday, just like LSU did with TENN in 2005. Florida is joke and the SEC commish is a joke. LSU bent over backwards to make this game happen this weekend, Now espn is trying to paint LSU as the villian because they dont want to give a home game and play 3 straight road conference games in 13 days. I hope LSU stands firm. LSU shouldnt have to give a home game when this game could have been played. LSU 2005 moved and rescheduled 3 games due to katirna and rita. South Carloina moved its home game to Baton Rouge last year. Foley strong armed a weak SEC commish in to this and now the natioanl media is Painting LSU as the villian. gimme a break. LSU waas willing to fly a charter flight out there to pick them up support staff included and had hotel room set up for them, so Foley, shut up, you had options.

Because his entire DLine is hurt and his QB needs an extra week to get healthy. That's exactly why. They will get an extra week off, have probably one less loss, and their players can rest and heal up. You'd have to be an idiot to think otherwise. Hell. We could play this game Monday IN GAINESVILLE. They don't want any part of it.
