Probably the only true statement he made. Everyone knows he isn't going to waste bread.

As far as saying he goes off what he sees, I wish one of the reporters had asked him about the data showing more players being injured with his style of play than the HUNH. Plus if he is concerned about safety and looked he would see football is a dangerous sport and would be out picketing games instead of coaching in them.

Give them a break, they know without their gimmick of rushing to the line to prevent the defense from subbing then starring at the sideline waiting on the play call, they would not be able to compete in the game.

Jesus H Christ indeed! How long does it take to play a basketball game, excluding halftime, compared to football? To say that the conditions on the athlete are the same is simply dumb as shite. The surface, the shoes, the physical contact, the periods of time that an athlete has a chance to rest are completely different.

To say that the requirements of football and basketball are identical on the body is foolish as hell. You repeat this crap like you know what you're talking about.

If high school kids were being rushed to the hospitals after every HUNH game you might have a shred of evidence to hang your crap on but you don't. Not one shred of evidence and everyone knows it.

That isn't a deflection. I think it's just hypocrisy for a guy to be spouting off about how he's worried about his kids' health when he coaches a game that involves knocking the shite out of one another. If he's truly so worried about his kids not getting hurt, maybe he should spout off about eliminating the run from football. Or if we are going to run the ball, the RB can't be more than 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage because too much momentum going forward creates a higher risk of injury from higher forces colliding. One can go on forever if injuries is your true concern.

And running creates fatigue so maybe they shouldn't be allowed to run either. We'll just walk through the plays.

I wonder if Pinkel thinks the dangers of drinking and driving are fiction.

One look at Bert and one realizes the truth of this statement.

Sub out like Auburn? You mean fall over and act like your hurt?

Great post and not just because you brought some science and real data and study that backs up what my school's coach believes and says, but you brought some level headed interesting discussion and some information I had not seen before.

Good posts are becoming rarer than virgin queef in Vegas.

Player safety would be an issue if we weren't promoting men growing to sizes that human organs are not meant to manage. Look at the health and life expectancy of men the size of college football players.

Player Safety idea:

QB's: 165 lbs weight limit
OL: 250 lbs weight limit
RB: 178 lbs weight limit

When we start running pee wee and midget rules will start controlling the pace of play.

Larger, faster players hitting more violently is more apt to cause more injuries.

Where is your call for size and speed limits? Or is it that the players that Bama is able to sign tend to be larger and faster than most other teams, so that's an advantage that wouldn't wish to surrender?

I'd buy Pinkel a beer for laying down the truth.
