I haven't read any recent updates, but that's the scenario I assumed. It's the only one that really makes sense.

The more detailed stuff I've seen, from people saying they are from Springfield and know him from high school and such, is that:

*The girl in question, the "alleged victim" or whatever you want to call her, was a friend of DGB's girlfriend, the DGB side of the story is that he was already in the apartment when an argument broke out between the two, she was drunk and there was mutual shoving but he did not punch her, this continued on outside as he was leaving. The extreme DGB side of story actually says that she drunkenly punched him and that was what started the shoving match, only seen that one from one source though.

*The girl is almost universally reported as not wanting to "press charges" but its been said that her mom does. However if its criminal it could still be at the prosecutor's discretion to bring a case even if the alleged victim doesn't want to talk...would be much harder without her though.

* DGB's parents have supposedly reached out to the mom of the alleged victim and said that DGB "may be done at Mizzou"...not sure if that's real or if it would be something DGB's family is saying to try to placate the vitcim's mom and stop her from being all gung ho about having a criminal case go forward.

*CoMo police at one point said that more details would be said about their investigation on Thursday or Friday of this week. Seems to be implying that's when an arrest warrant might be issued *if* one gets issued.

So if you smoke weed and drink beer at 18 youre a thug? I can't back him up for beating a woman, that's just ridiculous

Yeah its hard to speculate, could be any number of things. If it was his girlfriend that is his alleged victim, and they either kissed and made up somehow or she's just too embarrassed or just too much of a Mizzou fan to not want him to play, hell who knows. I've more consistently seen it said to be a "friend of his girlfriend" which, again you hate to speculate, but certainly brings to mind lots of cheating/angry one night stand chick possible scenarios...who knows.

I still am hoping the same chick who may have dumped Zach Price for Earnest Ross, sending Price into his rampage, first dumped DGB for both of them and its all one big interwoven catastrofrick. And that the girl turns out to be Jessica Bunge's younger sister.
