I'd get the flight around 7 if I were you.

As some have mentioned, parking around Dickson will help u out with traffic. Ill give you another option on a parking spot we us if we are not planning on a long tailgate....

Take the Wedington exit and head east. Head east until you come to intersection of Garland. Take a left and park at Harps. Its a hill to walk up, but about a 10 minute walk to campus. After the game, take Garland down to 540 and head to XNA. Not once have I ever waited on traffic there.

This is sound advice. Harps is a grocery store at the corner of Wedington(North St) and Garland.

That puts you out past all the lights in that part of town and Garland is a straight shot north to the highway. The visitor's section is on the NE corner of the stadium, and while its still a bitch of a hike because of the hills, this makes the most sense.

You will want to be careful leaving Dixon and make sure you don't get back into game traffic best way out of Dixon street is to go Back east on Dixon to College Street it gets a little confusing by NWA Mall and you will need to make a U turn at the large intersection Dixie Cafee will be on your left then make sure you get on 540 North. If you don't make the big u turn by Dixie Cafee and stay on old 71 it will take you into Springdale and you can pick up 540 North there.

Exactly how I got out of there last time I parked on Dickson for a game. I was to our meet up point almost 45 minutes faster than the rest of our group who parked at Baum and left the stadium a few minutes ahead of us. It's really a quick walk through campus to get back to Dickson.

It always makes me feel better when I get to walk down the hill, walking by all the cars stuck in traffic...walking back is a lil easier...although right when you leave the stadium is a bish and a half.

A Louisiana person should be warned, though. There's more elevation change on our campus than there is in the entire state of Louisiana.

I might be exaggerating, but not by much. The elevation in Fayetteville changes by about 700 feet from the lowest valley to the top of Mt Sequoyah. The highest spot in Louisiana is only 535 feet total.

LOL I worked at The Hush Puppy all through College. They had just opened I was hired as their 1st hostess. The Dyers were great people. And maybe I'm the only "da" that refers to DICKSON as Dixon. I'll be the 1st to admit I'm not the greatest speller but I know how to spell Dickson correctly. I usually refer to it as Dixon. Not sure why but always have and many of my friends in College (1970's) referred to it as Dixon Street..MY BAD..I'll bet my buddy PWJ referrs to it as Dixon St

Harps is good advice. Hall Ave is a small street just to the north of Harps that parallels Garland, all the people that live there and an apartment complex on it rent out places for the day. That walk isn't bad at all, you are nearly at Cleveland street so it is downhill to the stadium. The traffic is substantially better on the north side of the stadium than Razorback Rd or 6th St. The walk back will be uphill, but it isn't very far and you should have plenty of time when you leave right after half down 40-3 or so.
