"Ye who are without sin, cast the first stone..." theres a quote straight out of the mouth of Jesus for ya. Lol... people are throwing stones, bricks, rocks, couches, refrigerators, cars, and all kinds of stuff. Oh, and please don't get triggered by my posts. I'm not saying he's better than you, or you better than he, or I better than either of you. AND IM NOT DEFENDING WHAT HE DID... I'm simply saying we are all on the same playing field when it comes to sin, and we are ALL susceptible of falling- even you, if you were in his position.
I get what your saying and agree but I think the other guy is making a good point too. It's sort of two separate arenas if you will. In the eyes of God in a spiritual sense, everyone is a sinner and the tiniest white lie makes you just as guilty as the worst Hitler in history. That may not make be easy to accept but that is the nature of sin. In the same light if the axe murderer on death row truly accepts Gods forgiveness then he can be justified just like anyone else. I think that's what your getting at and I 100% agree.
That's all true with the Freeze issue as well and everything applies to freeze if he truly turns away from his sin etc etc. What the other guy and most of the people in this tread seem to be alluding too is perception wise, just like when a major highly visible pastor in the community ( Jimmy swaggert, Dino Rizzo etc.) commits a highly visible sexual type of sin-- it hurts the Church's witness in an extremely negative way that an everyday person going about his daily struggles with issues wouldn't be able affect as much.
The reason for this is very straight forward-- they have a very loud leadership/soapbox in the church (or in freezes case leading a group of young men). When so many people look up to them in a leadership role and then they fall so severely-- we'll of course it's a big deal (in a temporal earthly sense) --again God can still
Forgive them--- but they do give an opening to those outside the church to cast stones and mock. That's why those in leadership have to be extremely careful not to put themselves in situations of tempatstion etc.

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure I'd want to spend eternity with a god who is so narcissistic that he's ok with mass murder as long as you worship him. Sounds like a real piece of shite to me.

Dude is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Jonah didn't preach to the sailors when he forsook God. It drives people away from God. Quit trying to keep people from trashing on him. It's just making it worse.

Sins aren't equal in the eyes of men. God knows we all sin. Paul was a murderer, but god forgave him and used him. That's what is meant by sins are equal. Not that a white lie is just like murder. Just the fact there is salvation for us all, if we choose it

Once again, I would not trust a god who could forgive someone like Hitler as long as Hitler worshipped him. In this scenario, god is the ultimate narcissist and if gods a narcissist, I would t want to spend eternity with him.
Basically I'm calling this idea that "all is forgiven if you worship me" concept as bullshite. If there is a god, I highly doubt it works that way as a being with that kind of power would not be narcistic enough to only care if people worshipped him or not. If there is a "heaven" I highly doubt anyone like Hitler is there regardless of how repentant he was and I bet there are plenty of atheist and agnostics there who led good lives.

Yeah I used to create religion to suit myself as well. Had the same argument. The truth is. Only god knows who he forgives or not. None of us do. But he also teaches "the only unforgivable sin, is blasphemy of the holy spirit." I suggest deep meditation and prayer. God shows his path to all of us. Just don't reject it when you see it. All religious talk aside, frick Hugh freeze

To quote a famous scoundrel.
"Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. 'Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense."

That's such cowardly bullshite to keep invoking God whenever someone points out your stupidity and hypocrisy. You're not God and neither is Freeze, got it?

I get the impression Hugh probably wasn't a big hit at the NCAA coaches conventions.
Outside of his cult, he alienated himself from pretty much everybody.

snowflakes add up just like hypocritical comments... pretty soon there is an avalanche and instead of snow you are covered in shite and hooker diseases. Don't be a shitflake with hooker diseases.

No it doesn't. People call out hypocrites for what they are. Religious hypocrites gain even more popularity when they are outed as frauds. This isn't a new thing or a "snowflake" thing, or do you not remember when Jimmy Swaggart was outed for very similar behavior. Are we not supposed to react any sort of way when a holier than thou televangelist wannabe is outed as a piece of shite? Sure we're all sinners. But a guy that has a thing for hookers regularly probably shouldn't go around quoting daily bible verses and throwing his religion in everyone's face as if it makes him a better person.

How fricking arrogant does one have to be to use the phrase "god sent you our way" when talking about the fricking head coach of your football team. Like god (if there is one) gives two shits about your football team.
