Yeah but he is still a tard for projecting AP voters to vote [my favorite team] too low. Actually, I think AP puts OM lower. They ranked Boise ahead of us at the end of last year despite us kicking their arse and them playing a much easier schedule. If Bo doesn't try to overreach in the early part of that game, we would have won by 30 at least. AP poll pretty much sucks. They put too much stock in a name and last year's results pre-season and then they don't like to move anyone unless they lose. Let's face it, if AP (or BCS) decided title game, we would have had Bama raping FSU for another title w/ OSU and Oregon crying.

I guess some of y'all don't realize that this is not actually Steele's poll it's just his projection of another poll

I'm fully aware. That's what Phil does, he predicts and projects. What's your point?

Everybody has USC in the top 10 I just don't understand where all the love for them is coming from
USC, Notre Dame and Ohio State always seem to land in preseason top 25 lists regardless of the outcome in the previous season. It's pretty astounding, IMO.

I personally think top 25 lists should be released after a couple weeks into the season. These lists put some great teams near the end, or completely out of, the top 25 and the result is some teams being shut out of National Championships, and now maybe the 4 team playoff.

The West is stacked this year. Seriously, all 6 teams made it!

Luckily the only poll that matters doesn't come out until later in the season (CFBP poll)

Again, we won and will be much improved this year.

Sumlin just had a horseshoe shoved up his arse with Johnny Football. I still think giving Sumlin that kind of money is the single dumbest raise ever given to a coach when he hasn't proven jack shite.

Yeah, I thought about that after I had already finished my post. I figure since I already typed it all out, it might as well stay.

Still, in hindsight, I can't help but wonder what if TCU had gotten into the college football playoff? Florida State was a weak(er) team than people thought, but they had gone undefeated to the point and you couldn't leave them out. TCU absolutely throttled Ole Miss in the bowl game, and they had an awesome resume. Ohio State lost to fricking Virginia Tech and appeared to be the wrong decision at the time, and then they went on the win the National Championship. Oregon appeared to be the overwhelming favorite to win it all, and they got handled by Ohio State.
