When what Majors built started to expire, and Phils deal with the NCAA was no longer good for unlimited cheating/spending his sham of a program went to total and complete dog shite.
Phil, just like Lyle, could have never competed with Saban. He was saved mass humiliation by getting the easy out of being fired. It was essentially euthanasia. He deserves much worse and the good news is there is still time for him to get it.

Re Coach Johnny Majors, do not ever forget that Fulmer stabbed him in the back to get the HC job in the first place. I am not sure if Major's ever spoke to him again.

Actually Butch has made steps towards reconciling them. I didn't think it was possible, but they at some point over the past several months have been in the same room together and spoken to each other.
