You know if Arkansas was in the East I think they would have had an East Title. They got a good coach right when the Saban/Miles buzzsaw started revving up.

If only Arkansas had some prior evidence that Petrino might be untrustworthy.....

Arky definitely would have won the West by now.

Y'all are a good program.
You'll survive this, Latarian.

Petrino rides off into the sunset

having never lost to Les Miles in the state of Arkansas. You can never take that away from the man.

FYMF!

(Petrino skids off the roadway into a brushpile when the sunset blinds him momentarily)

He's actually got a good point. Miles has beaten Mullen in Starkville, Nutt in Oxford, Orgeron in Oxford, Nutt in Little Rock, Meyer in Gainesville, Tuberville in Auburn, Spurrier in Columbia, Richt in Athens, Shula in Tuscaloosa,
Dooley in Knoxville, Fulmer in Knoxville and New Orleans, and Saban in Tuscaloosa (twice), but never beat Petrino in Arkansas...

All that tells me is that he was the single greatest coach in the history of Arkansas football.

petrino's one of those coaches who you know is pretty good but in the end, didn't really accomplish all that much in his career.

i.e. John Gruden?

No but that is what it was all about to petrino...It was the background reason we really had to let him go. To obsessed with beating Les Miles, while we know as a program we are better than that petty obsession.

we fired our coach for losing two games in baton rouge. Guess we just hold our guys to a higher standard.

his final legacy is going to be CBS catching him wagging his finger at Les miles while getting his arse throttled on national TV. Mouthing the words "F U Mother f---er"

Crying and pouting and refusing to shake Miles' hand. while Miles is yukking it up and saying "oh, he mad now"!
