9 Game schedule is coming along with an SEC Network and then you will see teams outside of your division more often.

Don't care. 9 game schedule, and the cross division thing is perfect.

You know where the door is cowboy. You better get used to TSIO. The 2 winningest programs in the league have a little more pull than the winy transplants. DWI or GTFO

No way in hell perma rivals are going away - It's not just UGA, UT and the AL schools keeping it alive.

Do you think that MSU and ole miss will give up playing UK and Vandy or vice versa?

Some rivalries are gonna die, albeit slowly. One of the negatives of expansion.

The TSIO is untouchable, never to be broken up. Alabama and Tennessee are the two pillars of SEC history and tradition, the Capo di tutti capi and Underboss of the SEC. It is Southern football at it's finest regardless of rank, records, etc.

Seriously though, I read an article during the first expansion (SC,Arky) and the biggest "sticking" point was the TSIO and both Bama and UT say that this rivalry game is not to be fricked with.

My God, literary in Alabama is piss poor. With a 9 game schedule, cross division rivalries are perfect. I want you to keep your game with Tennessee you stupid gump.

But just how important is Bama/UT that the rest of the conference has to bend over backwards?

This is a kinda delicate subject with our bama brethern

Best not to mention it and just let them have their way

Agreed, and the 4 team playoff selection committee is going to be too subjective with 5 power conferences and ND, one or two years where too many people feel left out(like this year) and we will expand to and 8 team playoff, and the SEC champ will get an auto bid. It is very simple to forsee. At that point, we might extend to a 10 game conference schedule so Alabama feels like they have a larger margin for error to win the West. You think I'm joking, but I'm not. By 2025 I predict there will be an 8 team playoff, SEC champ auto-bid, and a 10 game conference slate. The next round of conference expansion is going to apply to the number of conference games, not the number of teams.

LSU and Florida I assume are 2. They're the only teams that drew a short stick - no rich history, and another tough game for both.

UT still has at least another 5 years of pain due them. Then maybe the cowardly shits will learn not to snitch.

Plus UT is BAMA's biggest rival.
