This happens every single year. No matter how well Alabama plays in any given game, we get no credit. It is what it is. If we win out, there will still be doubters.

Probably. That's okay with me. If Alabama wins the rest of their games, they'll be in the playoff (should they beat whatever shitnado wins the East).

For sure.

The media is stupid and goes by their "eye test," but those polls are irrelevant now.

See, I wish the committee (like the BCS computers) would do away with (or at least stongly de-emphasize) the "eye test," but they don't appear to have done so. The only reason LSU is ranked as low as they are (#19 last week) is due to "eye test" considerations stemming from our loss at Auburn. The composite computer ranking--built only on who you have beaten and lost to--actually has the Tigers at #9. So the committee is apparently not immune to "eye test" subjectivity. And maybe that's a good thing; there's an argument to be made for the human element. But you can't simultaneously decry the "eye test" and praise the committee.

Why do LSU fans pump sunshine up all over the Big 12 and PAC 12 when it comes to comparing with Bama, but otherwise dismisses them?

Look at the bright side. Even if you lose, you can always claim another bogus championship.

The irony is that Tn claims more bogus NCs than Bama.

I'd say the majority of the analysts think Bama is the best team in the country.

If LSU fans (or anyone else) dismiss the Big 12 and PAC 12 as conferences, they are idiots. The SEC is no doubt the strongest conference top-to-bottom, but that doesn't mean everyone else is crap. Having lost badly to Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl, and been pushed hard by West Virginia in the opener, Alabama fans should understand how legit the Big 12 is. That said, Iowa State, Texas Tech, and Kansas are all worse than anyone in the SEC besides Vanderbilt.

Just for the record, Oklahoma did anything but blowout alabama. Alabama had the ball with a chance to drive down the field and win the game with 2 mins left in the 4th qtr. That is not a blowout

Hell, what do they know? I'd be much more inclined to listen to the "experts" on tRant...they're really sharp.

This year I believe you are right. When Bsma plays aggressive and motivated I would rate them number 1, but when they play a mistake prone game like Arksnsas I wouldn't put them in the top 25.

TCU has three wins over ranked teams, and two good to great wins overall. Alabama has one good win.

This does not at all mean that

Haven't we learned anything about ranking Bama vs a Big12 team with superior wins?

Bama is 14th in the nation in offense and 4rth in total defense.

TCU is a joke, giving up 61 points and 30 to WV and 31 to Oklahoma a game they should have lost.

So watching teams is out the window now ?

Oregon has beat no one that has beat anyone, Mixh. St has beat no one.

That tends to happen when you play garbage teams. Bama has played one good team and lost.

Who exactly has Bama beat? Bama has done nothing this year to show they deserve to be where they are. Beating a team ranked in the 20s and losing to the #12 team isn't deserving of #4.

To the UT fan, That's kind of like saying UT won a game.

The analysts see the talent on the team. Sometimes the team clicks and sometimes it doesn't. When they have it all together they are as good as anybody in the country.
