UH, that's so weird since everyone says Alabama pays the refs. Facts say otherwise, but really who needs facts!

Ngl I thought we'd be number 1 in that regard, given the complete buffoons we've had as HC between Saban and Kelly

There's obviously a crapton of differences between the kirby and richt eras, but this is one of the most striking to me. Our guys just seem so much more disciplined now than they used to be. We don't see nearly the amount of head scratchingly stupid penalties that used to plague us.

Can you do the last two seasons? I feel Bama would be over 8

I would love to see yards penalized per game and the timing of those penalties.

Or how about those moments when the ref can't get the whistle off his chest

Yet there are simpletons here that believe Alabama is favored by the refs, despite all evidence to the contrary

You mean in the Tennessee game where we intercepted the ball late in the game to ice it and got called for a PI?

# of penalties has nothing to do with it
it's when certain penalties are called during game

Remember when Bama fumbled and LSU clearly recovered and then refs overturned it last season
That was a terrible call by SEC officials at a key time during the game

WRONG! The refs are told to only throw a flag on Alabama when the play wasn't important, or the game was already decided.

And there it is, the Swamptards ready-made out when hit with facts. This first blew up in their faces with, "muh holding penalties!!!". So, they came up with this talking point. See, only they can determine in their own minds when a penalty is "crucial".

Arguably the best player on the team getting ejected for a bullshite targeting call is pretty fricking "crucial," moron.

2017 Bama @ State

Ridley runs out of bounds to escape a CB and doesn't reestablish himself inbounds before making a critical catch. Sideline ref even throws his hat down. Head ump tells him to wave it off.

It's always critical calls/no calls early, and then a few makeups when the game is out of hand.

Doesn't change the fact that my team usually plays scared against them, but it makes the occasional ones that should go our way significantly less winnable.
