There's no way Oats want to spend the next couple of years in Tuscaloosa at a Football school when he could be at a so called Blueblood program that's a basketball school such as Kentucky. Well that's what Calipari said at least.

Yes, and Cal admits that it was that comment that put the final nail in his coffin.
He lost the support of the administration after that comment. Mitch made the comment with Stoops that coaches come and go all the time.

Bama just gave Oats a raise to $4.5, right? Currently no promise of a new arena.
I would bet if UK could get to $7.0 and pay the buyout, Oats would think about leaving. I mean there’s no way Bama can financially pay for an arena with these high interest rates and pay the HC more than about $5 million.
I feel like Oats salary has got to be maxed now at Bama unless he and the administration can agree to officially put building a new arena to rest.

Bruce’s buyout is around $7 million I think…. But he also makes $5.65 per year which is more than Oats.

I don’t think oats or pearl does leave. Bruce more than oats just because he has a cal vibe to him more than oats. But Bruce has his program going and Kentucky will be a mess.
