I'm betting it is related to bama's loss. After bama got beat by LSU at home, he said that he was not able to watch ESPN for 2 wks. He legitimately goes into a funk. But being serious, watching it live, he was just coughing a lot, no signs of a stroke or anything. And his wife is a M.D. so he should be taken care of at home. And Burns stepped right in his shoes & made his first show the next day a continuing BAMANETWORK love fest.

He's back after two days off. Still sounds sick. Says he was getting dizzy and fever was spiking during the last call.

Joked that he's happy he didn't die.

After first caller he's back coughing again.

If he retires what on earth are they going to do for 4 hours a day?

If he retires, the program will become the SECN as it was intended to be. He does give good interviews but ESPN has a host of talking heads who can hold their own there & not be a bama pimp.

There's a strain called George Bush. A few hits of that shite and you can't put two words together in a coherent fashion. Maybe he hit some of that instead of some Quirkle.

Agreed. His interviews are spot on but he should not EVER take callers. Until he stops that shite, he'll always be known as Jerry Springer of sports talk.
