I listen to the show when a big story is happening (Cam Newton last fall, conference realignment last summer, etc.) because he brings on better guests and gets more to the point than the national shows. But when it's just the callers going back and forth, I can't make it through 10 mins.

His show is pretty entertaining. I don't know how that idiot caller from Georgia can get on his show 5 times a day when other people can't ever get thru.

I actually don't mind Finebaum. But I cannot stand his show. I'm not going to listen to one screeching redneck after another talk smack to each other. I've never heard another show like that, where it's just callers talking about other callers. Very little sports talk.

Bobby from Homewood post on ITAT's free board every once in a while. He says that certain callers get a special number that gets them through faster than than everyone else. He also says that all the callers are legit but Paul does sometimes ask them to talk about certain subjects off the air. Bobby is the guy who got banned from Paul's show for saying Shane deserved to get cancer for all the things he has said about Auburn over the years.

Evera day I git on this radio and all I hear is Cam Newton, Cam Newton! I ain't a raciss but White folk been takin' all they lives. Cecil Newton get $180 dolla, $200,000 dolla an you people act like it's a crime. It's not a crime!

Best characterization I've heard of his show. I've listened somewhat regularly to his show for the last 12 or so years and the show is great during big stories. A few of the regular callers like Legend, Tammy, the angry "West Ga waterboy" caller, I-man, and that redneck Georgia fan from Columbus drive me nuts though. The regular callers from a few years back were funnier and more entertaining. The show was also MUCH better when Neal Vickers was Finebaum's sidekick and would constantly laugh at some of the callers.
Swamptider has a good point though. Finebaum routinely gave Alabama and Alabama fans AT LEAST as much hell throughtout much of the late 90s and early 00s as he's given Auburn lately. Alabama fans were pissed at Finebaum but we didn't start organized boycotts of the show like NTY foundation has. Had Finebaum gone national 7 or 8 years ago people would be asking why Alabama fans bother listening to a show that is constantly ripping their head coach, AD, and university president. He was brutal towards Dubose, Shula, Mal, and President Sorenson at the time. Auburn fans have just conveniently forgot about all that though and national listeners weren't around then to hear so they think Finebaum has always praised Alabama.
