Pat Dye occasionally annoys me, but I'm not sure why we'd be miffed about this.

Did you know that if Texas stopped playing football tomorrow (FIFY and Kansas protected), it would take A&M 16 consecutive 10-win seasons to catch the Longhorns in all-time victories?
Fun fact No. 2: Did you know that if Texas and A&M were to start playing football again this season, it would require the Aggies to win every game through 2056 to tie the series?

That's fine and dandy, but what does A&M have to do with this?

Good question. About five or six years ago, they would be on here slobbering all over that Crimson Tide knob.
Consecutive humiliations that made that one win seem as far back as aggy's 1939 national championship will do that.

Bear Bryant wrote the book on cheating. Saban caught lightning in a bottle and got any recruit he wanted. Congratulations.

I'm not miffed about it, but the guy has been senile/pickled for a decade and I'm tired of him(and others) pretending he is mouthpiece for Auburn. I appreciate what he did for Auburn, but his time has been over for almost 25 years.

Are you bringing this up independent of Patrick Fain Dye or in relation to him?

On the Finebaum show his senility really started to show. Asked by Paul what he thought of the Ole Miss issue he started talking about some shite that he went through and ended it by talking about how much Lincoln Reilly will miss his family.

You are aware who Dye's mentor was, aren't you?

Please go away Patrick Fain Dye. Tuberville was onto something by not letting your old arse around the program.

Pat Dye is not man enough to talk about tradition.

Hey Pat, no one will be playing football in 500 years ...nor anything with a blown up ball.
(lawyers won't allow it)

Would you share some examples, please? I'm 55 live in Birmingham and can remember hearing that mantra since I was about 11 or 12 circa 1973. Yet when pressed I've never been told any specifics. I have an almost library of Bear Bryant books and SEC books in general.
Would love to hear some instances. At least ones that no other team did. The, "well, he offered scholarships to boys so they wouldn't go to Auburn,Tennessee, etc" could be deemed questionable, but not illegal or even unethical.
Look forward to hearing some.
