IMO White goes to Mizzou. He is a tremendous coach who runs a 40 minutes of hell system like Anderson and Shaka Smart. Would be a fabulous hire for MIZ.

Right here.

I am very happy that our AD is smart enough not to put us in a financial burden if White were not to be successful in 3 or 4 years with a huge buyout. I am also glad he didn't give White a small buyout to leave easily when Ole Miss came calling.

We could have hired White easily if we panicked and gave him everything he wanted. Fact is we have other candidates who are just as accomplished that we can get at the correct value.

It is called good business, something our AD didn't do at all under Mike Hamilton the previous Director.

Would like to see Tyndall hired now.

Tyndall is every bit as good as White, imo. But he's also said he has a good thing at USM. Good coaches are going to want good contracts.

I just think that type of system works great in the south and mid south thanks to all the athletes we pump out down here. But Mizzou would be successful also with a coach like Howland because they are just far enough north to recruit /Northern/mid west basketball players who usually have very high bball IQ

Dooley buyout cost UT $9.3 million. Who the hell signs buyout like that for an unproven WAC coach with a losing record? Hart better not give everything they demand.

Understandable but TN is especially sensitive to the buyout situation due to the Dooley situation. Hamilton was panicked by Kiffin leaving and really screwed that contract up bad.

One of these quality mid-major coaches will see the opportunity and resources at TN and will take the contract options we are willing to pay.

Hope it is Tyndall.

There is only one 40 minutes Of hell and it resides in Fayetteville, ARKANSAS.

Eh. Our fan base wouldn't be excited about that, TBH. White might be ok. We're not looking for another Anderson.

Anderson was the best coach yall ever had....Norm was good but Anderson has the highest winning percentage all-time in Mizzou basketball history... plus he took you to an Elite 8 in a short amount of time. (The furthest Mizzou has ever advanced in the tourney)

I'm ready for the fire Dave Hart thread by volfan30. White was 3rd on his list.

I'm not that upset. Pretty obvious that White was going to jump to Ole Miss with any amount of success which would be disastrous. Also as I've said before I am not a big fan of pressing/fast paced basketball.

We hire Tyndall and I will be just fine.
