How many players of the last 2 recruiting classes are seeing significant playing time right now. It seems to be alot of them.

I think McElroy is very over-rated. The guy is just an average to below average college QB. Doesn't have an NFL arm, stares down his receivers in a huge way and past 15 yards he isn't very accurate.

Bama's run game is very solid and so is their defense. Just like last year. I do think they are very beatable though.

I see what your doing here.

Your like that hot skinny girl that calls herself ugly and fat so people will build her up. That is what you are doing with Alabama right now

Only eight starters are from the remaining Shula players. The remaining starters come from Coach Saban's 2007 and 2008 classes. We have no starters from the 2009 class, although Trent and Nico play big roles.

I think Alabama will be a consistant top 5 team the next 2-3 years. Things really have to go your way to win a NC these days so nobody can say for sure we will win one. Hopefully we can pull out an SECC the next couple years. Either way i'm just happy to be good again, it's been awhile.

Did most of the 2009 class redshirt or are many seeing some time this year?

Trent Richardson, Nico Johnson, Rod Woodson, and Tana Patrick are all playing as of right now. Woodson is soley a special teams player right now.

Most of them will redshirt. Nico Johnson, Trent Richardson, Mike Bowman, Dre Kirkpatrick, and Rod Woodson have played.

Carpenter starts, but he was a JC transfer. Nico and Trent play a lot. Some are contributing on special teams (which I think is a huge waste FWIW), but most will redshirt.

I was looking for him to get a little more PT, we desperately need a big receiver opposite Julio.

What? Its not like people were saying McElroy was a Heisman canidate coming into the season. In face just about every rival fan said he would cost Alabama two or three games, and looked lost all season. He had one off game, against a good Ole Miss defense, and now he's chopped liver?

The guy has played the same every game. A good defense will pick him off when he stares down his receivers.

I'm just saying i don't think he is that good of a QB. I can see why he didn't start over Parker. Some people have said "McElroy for heisman."
