I will add Auburn 2008....not the team or the fans so much....but Tubby walked into BDS holding up 7 fingers.....and walked out with a 36-0 beat down....

FSU, just about every time they play Jim Grobe's Wake Forest.

Bama 2010. Maybe not as cocky before the game but after the first half...damn. Ill never forget McElroy's parents dancing in the stands, only to watch him get blanked in the 4th.

I really enjoyed beating state last year.

I agree, but I don't recall reading any smack from the team. AFAIK that was all on Mullins. The all-white uniforms, fake snow, "Hail State" in place of player names, etc., all commemorating a (wait for it)... 2000 Independence Bowl victory. Whut?

But screw it, yeah, definitely MSU. I've lived here for 30 years and listened to MSU grads chant "SEC, SEC, SEC" as if MSU had anything to do with it. The team may not have been cocky, but the HC and fans definitely had that one coming.

Or maybe I'm just cranky.

Agree. Bama 2012 and 2013 got what was coming to them, in the form of a crystal trophy.

None of the many LSU fans I talked to or ran into were cocky at all going into 1/9, if anything they were genuinely worried. They knew they had to play the one team that could actually beat them.

Every BCS loser since Florida started the streak, with the exception of 2011.

I really hate Ohio State.

You must have not been in NOLA the days and weeks leading up to the game. They were unbearable down there.

Also Norte Dame last year. They were walking around Miami liked they owned the place. Their smug sense of self worth was over the top.

The one I remember most was pigs flying in 93, although that was probably more media than the actual players.

Not weeks, that was over exaggerating a bit on my part but lets not act like y'all didn't start getting cocky the moment you made that last field goal on Nov 5th.
