Impressive. He definitely earned it on the field; he was head and shoulders above everyone else this year. It's just a shame all this other crap has cast a shadow over it.

True but the award is no just about achievement on the field which was apparently ignored by those who voted for him.

Wrong.

93% of the voters that voted for Newton voted him #1. 7% did not vote him #1, and 12% left him off of their ballots completely. Therefore, Newton was voted #1 on 81% of the ballots submitted.

Cam appeared on 167 more ballots than Ingram did last year. So in a word, no.
