I am curious to see if anyone in the Big Ten not named Ohio state or Michigan state can win the conference. I think Michigan will have a dramatic change from last year... If Nussmeier can fix that offense UM could win 10 or 11 games

They have so many holes on their roster that it's difficult to know where to even begin.

Their offensive line is going to be terrible with a capital T. Gardner is an OK quarterback. They don't have much at RB. They actually do have some players at WR and TE, though they lost Gallon.

Their defense should be better, but that's not saying much considering last year's outfit.

They also play at Notre Dame, at Michigan State, and at Ohio State, though the rest of their schedule is garbage. They'll win six or seven games this year, and Hoke will be gone. They've gotten worse every year he's been there.

This is one I'm looking to watch as well. I think Penn St is going to flourish under Franklin and watching this kid play for the next two-three years is going to be fun.

who are you looking forward to seeing?

JFF@Cleveland.

Sark@USC and Peterson@Washington

Chip Kelly at Philadelphia. If it doesn't pan out and he comes back to college, I hope it is the same year Les decides to retire.

Outside of Hundley, who can you name on their offense?

Myles Jack

Which is one more than I can name besides Mariota at UO.

UCLA, Wash St, Ohio St, Texas, FSU, Rutgers, UCF all intrigue me. I really want to see Texas and Strong do well to impact the Ags recruiting. We at least have FL and GA to turn to I think Strong will be a miserable failure though.

Baylor. Want to see if they'll still compete for the Big 12.

Jack is a linebacker and that unit is thin enough that they would be stupid to play him there. Problem with Ucla is I barely remember their skill guys because they left no impression on me. Both Tyner and Marshall were at or near a thousand yards rushing as true frosh and sophomore.

I have a feeling Notre Dame will be legit this year. I actually think Kelly is a good coach and wants to build an SEC elite type of program there.

I'm excited to watch UCLA. They can win the PAC-12 this year. I also want to see if USC can bounce back this year. They'll be back to their old ways in a few years.

I'll also be keeping an eye on OU this year, to see if they are really a good team, or just had a good night during the Sugar Bowl.

I wanna see if someone steps up at QB for Clemson. They have the DL to dominate the ACC outside FSU. But they need Stoudt or anyone else to operate that offense efficiently if they're gonna win the ACC

Yea, they should be back to being a powerhouse program in no time.

Christian Hackenberg should be able to get them back on the map, a la Andrew Luck at Stanford, Brett Hundley at UCLA, Nick Marshall at Auburn and RGIII at Baylor (new coach comes in with a big-name quarterback with ability to get them to the big game).

LOTS of major programs with new coaches:

USC
Texas
Penn St.

Those are 3 top 10 programs all time starting over.

Louisville kind of big, but interesting to see Petrino vs. Clemson and FSU.

It sucks knowing Auburn opens the 2015 season against them...

Granted, we play at the Georgia Dome and it's hard to beat Auburn's speed in that stadium.

I think this kid will start as a freshman for Wake Forest.
not that a program like WF will help him, but he's one of the most underrated QB's in the State of Florida. He broke all of Tebows Highschool records. He TURNED DOWN an offer from MISSISSIPPI STATE, for wake forest.
Im just excited to see what he can do on the next level.. and I'm definitely keeping an eye out for him.

JOHNNY WOLFORD

I'm looking forward to seeing how a lot of teams with new coaches look:
Texas w/ Strong, Louisville w/ Petrino (+ Grantham), Washington w/ Peterson, Penn State w/ Franklin, and USC with Sarkisian.

As for teams in general I can't wait to see MSU's defense, Baylor's offense, Oregon's offense, and FSU as a whole

Individual players I'm excited for are Mariota, Hundley, Jameis, Braxton, Petty, Melvin Gordon, and the return of Everett Golson.

We should be very good on offense. For a guy who was known as an offensive guru before he got here, his offenses have sucked arse. He hasn't had an offense ranked in the top thirty yet. Very, very poor quarterback play has had much to do with it, but he has basically farted away what should have been good offenses with guys like Michael Floyd, Tyler Eifert, Zach Martin (all first round guys), Troy Niklas (2nd round), Theo Riddick, Cierre Wood, and a fair amount of other NFL caliber players. If he doesn't produce a good offense this year with Golson back, what should be a very good OL, and a nice set of receivers and runningbacks, then he just sucks.

We have some holes to fill on defense. We'll be excellent on the edges at all three levels, but we have some big questions at DT, MLB, and safety.

Kelly has recruited pretty well (about on the level of Auburn or UGA since he has been at ND), so the baseline talent has been elevated, but he hasn't produced any truly outstanding teams - especially on offense - yet. He's an excellent program manager and developer of talent (hence the eight draft picks a few months ago), but he is a mediocre tactician and doesn't run fluid schemes.

We also have a pretty difficult schedule this year (at FSU, at USC - whom I think could be very good this year, Stanford, Louisville, at Arizona State, Michigan), so who really knows.

PAC 10 or whatever it is now should be interesting this year.

Should be a very fun conference, and it will be - as has mostly been the case since the BCS formed - the second-best conference in the country. They will have six teams (UCLA, Stanford, USC, Oregon, UW, and ASU) that have a legitimate shot at winning the conference and making the playoff and a few more (Arizona and Oregon State) that should be pretty tough as well. I think USC could be really tough this year - as an ND fan, I am dreading the hell out of that game.

Whoa a little wake talk? Yeah Wake has two QBs on the roster that were relatively well regarded coming out of high school, and both have seemingly gotten worse. Johnny Wolford will hopefully come in and win the job.

Also, I'd like to see Petrino fall flat on his face.
