Lack of recruiting, and the media turned on him more quickly than others because he never sucked them off. Reading Philip Marshall cry about how Harsin hasn’t kissed his arse is a thing of beauty. But that comes with a price.

Recruiting.
Falling apart in the 4th quarter of every single game.
Blowing off people like Bo Jackson

Isn’t he 3-1? What does Auburn expect to be?

He wasn't who the powerbrokers wanted.

So, he was dead in the water unless he crushed it. He did not crush it in recruiting, on field success or making tangible improvement, or politicking among those who hold the purse strings.

They attempted a coup to fire with cause and get out from under it, and that failed.

Things have not improved.

Does not put in near the required effort to recruit successfully at this level, Is a complete prick behind closed doors according to many, and is apparently not very receptive to new ideas and advice outside of his inner circle of coaches he brought with him from Boise.

Barely. Two of those wins are shite programs and he damn near lost to San Jose State.

He ended last season with a 5 game losing streak.

His biggest sin now may be his recruiting. What do I expect Auburn to be? I sure as frick don’t expect us to be dead last in the SEC in recruiting. I don’t expect us to finish in the West cellar 2 years in a row either.

He is. Harsin didn’t appear at his charity golf tournament last year and it didn’t go unnoticed.

My understanding is that he is pathetic at recruiting, like he has not even visited the top high schools in the state, like Hoover, Thompson and AUBURN

that’s right, the head coach at Auburn University has not even visited Auburn HS - a school that Saban came to his 1st week at Bama

If that is true, he is a moron and has no business coaching at a high level…

And that. Story just came out with HS coaches talking about how they’ve never met Harsin and how unusual that was. Assistants were great but he never came to their schools.

Fans will take losses in the first few years as long as there is hope for a better tomorrow. Recruiting is how you buy that hope. They won't take losses with nothing to make them think it will get any better.

I legitimately think that Harsin never intended to spend his career at AU. He got offered more money than he could spend in a lifetime to go South for a few years, and will return home with a massive buyout and retire. You have to be intentionally trying to fail to be recruiting as badly as he is at a place like AU. The story about never stepping foot at Thompson or Hoover High is absurd.

A good AD could have picked up on this and never hired him, which is why his AD is already gone.

Been watching Auburn film. One of the worst coached teams I've seen so far.

1. Recruiting
2. Being an a-hole in general
3. Good ol boys club/hired by the wrong person/bad at booster politics/a-hole to wrong people

Not necessarily in that order.
