If someone offers you 10 million dollars, but you have to pick which team will beat Michigan out of Bama or FSU. If you lose the bet you lose every dollar you have. Not a single one of you is taking FSU in that scenario. And for that reason, the committee did the right thing.

When bashing fsu, go with the ole “pretty much universally agreed” line. shuts ’em up every time. How anyone can stand on this leg is beyond me.

Sounds like you have Bama abused spouse syndrome. The team that squeaked by Auburn on a miracle and lost at home by two scores deserves it over the team that won it on the field.

Hmmm, LSU vs AU

One second left on the clock and LSU went on to win the Natty.

Florida State got shafted. Honestly Bama did what it needed to do to earn a spot, but FSU should have made it as well on the basis of a 13-0 record and three key wins.

The odd pick for the four team playoff was Texas. They didn't really earn a berth. Sure they beat Bama but that was three months ago, before today's juggernaut Tide had developed an identity. In the meantime Texas struggled mightily in WTF!? type games to Houston and TCU, and were megalucky in an OT home win v K State, and lost to an Oklahoma team that wasn't that good. Texas had to make it in ONLY because Bama was chosen.

In a totally unbiased selection process, we're looking at 1- Michigan 2- Washington 3- Alabama 4- FSU

I wouldn't take that bet anyway because weird shite happens in this sport.

Alabama lost as a favorite
Georgia lost as a favorite
Texas lost as a favorite

that is the only 3 losses in the top 5.
and we were wrong about all of them.

that proves we don't "know" shite.
we're just guessing.

I doubt if many of you believe that either Georgia or Alabama would lose to Florida State in the playoff. In fact, either team with beat Florida State by two or more touchdowns.

How many believed Ohios Staye would beat Bama with their 3rd string QB

How many thought the NY Giants who barely squeaked into the playoffs would beat Brady and the Undefeated patriots.

How many believed Troy would beat LSU or Appalachia State would beat Michigan

It doesn’t matter what anyone believes the outcome will be.

What matters is what happened on the field. FSU didn’t lose and won games with their 2nd and 3rd QB.

FSU with their backup is better than Auburn who had Bama beat until they totally crapped the bed on 4th and goal from the 31. Why isn’t Bama penalized for that?

And if FSU was so bad after losing Travis. Why were they still 4 instead of 8 before Bama needed help to get in?

Except it's EXACTLY how it worked.

So then it's fair to me to point out that FSU squeaked by BC then right? Can I also point out that Bama beat Georgia, which is far and away a better win than FSU can claim. Or is that somehow off limits as well?

Because at that point Bama didn't have a win over Georgia on their resume.

Sure we would. But deep inside, even if we never admit it, we’d know we didn’t deserve it.

Problem is the “4 best” is completely subjective and can be argued a thousand different ways.

But undefeated in a P5 conference can’t be.

So that's what you're going with?

USF 17-3 (they scored a TD with 33 seconds left to go)
a&m 26-20
Arkansas 24-21
Auburn 27-24 (they needed a miracle)

TEXAS BEAT BAMA!!! When the frick does this not matter?
