Well all this SEC hot air is well and good, but your defending SEC East Champions came out and got their asses handed to them by the bRuins.
They got their asses kicked in the trenches. Couldn't manage a win even after being gifted 4 picks (one a pick six!)
All this after USC comes to Fayetteville and Jordan-Hare and lays a whipping on the Hogs and Plains-Eagle-Tigers like an SEC team hasn't been able to in ages.
There is no "SEC Hegemony" when it comes to head to head competition vs. PAC 10 teams, because frankly, in the last 10 years, we've proven our teams will beat your teams more often than not.
These are the facts, and they are indisputable.

I hate anytime a thread comes up about USC, people have to start bitching and get into a pissing contest with them.
USC is very good. They would be a FL, LSU, UGA, AU, easily.
I don't think they would go undefeated in the SEC. That's just my opinion. I don't think they would have went undefeated the year they played Oklahoma for the trophy if they were in the SEC, but they would definitely be one of the upper echelon programs year in and year out.
I still wish that they could have played Auburn in the NCG in '04. What a game that would have been. Oh well.

Actually, those are facts, but the points you are trying to make with them are disputable.

Tennessee lost their Offensive Coordinator, who many say was the key to their success, and lost their quarterback along with a few other key players. I figured they would still be good, but the fact that they aren't isn't all that suprising considering their circumstances. They still should have beaten UCLA, but your argument doesn't hold that much water.

What on earth are you talking about? LSU destroyed us that year just as bad as you guys did. Also, we sucked balls that year, we couldn't even score a touchdown on GEORGIA TECH in the next game after USC.

You scored ZERO points at home against USC. Tiger flew around the stadium and it was cool. The Toomer's lemonade was cold and lovely. And we shut you out at home for the first and only time in this decade.
Which was nice.

Who is disputing that?
ETA: I remember the game, I turned it off midway through the third quarter...

Nobody. I really just wanted to talk about Toomer's lemonade.
Mixes really nice with bourbon and ice, by the way.

Do you think the Pac 10 is superior to the SEC?
Im asking, not starting a pissing contest. We all know thats pointless and the same arguments come up everytime, so this would be pointless on my part.

If Ohio State loses to USC should a two lose SEC team get into the national championship game over a one lost Ohio State team? I would have to say yes, based off the last two championship games.
yes they should
but no, they won't

Honestly? I think the SEC has between 3-6 legitimate top 25 teams out of it's 12 members at some point almost every season.
The SEC has the most money of any conference, some of the best facilities, and the best BCSCG record of any conference.
Based on that criteria alone, you'd have to give the SEC the nod.
What irks me is the disrespect that some SEC honks have towards the PAC 10 (largely due to USC's continued dominance) when our teams have lined up against yours in the recent past and had very good results.
Riddle me this: In recent history, which conference has the best record against the SEC?

Sorry Charlie, but even if you take away the top team from either conference (PAC-USC, SEC-LSU)
The other PAC 10 teams STILL have a better head to head vs. SEC competition in the last decade.
So I guess the PAC 1 (and it's negative integers) are better than the SEC 12 head to head.
Ha!

USC - 42
OSU - 20
For the record, USC has a great program history (sans the wife killer), and has been dominant out West for the past several years.
The SEC is THE premier Conference in the country, and will likely remain so for some time to come.

4-0 against the SEC since PC has been here.
USC has never beaten an elite SEC team. Elite meaing that SEC team finished as a top 3 SEC team in the final polls at the end of season.
USC did a good job on beanting an over rated average Arkansas team and Auburn teams on a down years. WOW, that's like LSU bragging about blowing out Arizona. Or having the SEC brag about a mid-tier Tenneessee team blowing out the Co-Pac 10 champion Cal bears.
While the second best SEC team goes on to win BCS bowl games in easy victories. The second place PAC 10 team each year get's the asses whooped by the fourth best Big 12 team in the Holiday Bowl. Now that's depth, . LSU has double the national championship victories than USC does. Tenn. and Florida has just as many national championship victories than USC. When will a different PAC 10 team actually play in the NC game much less win it?
National Championship Games:
SEC= 4-0
Pac 10= 1-1
Ouch, that one hurt.
