He is a fool if he thinks he won't get caught. Even if he's disguising his IP, I highly doubt he's using the best there is, and two threats will likely get the Feds to help out on the trace (it being online may also open the door for that and the university angle might depending on circumstances/how creative they want to get).
I'd love to write him off but we just don't live in a world where we can do that. Elliott Rodger made multiple threats in Youtube vids and they sounded so over the top you thought they had to be fake but they weren't. He even had a fake arse villain style laugh.

On reddit the general consensus is that he might be Asain based on a lot of his liked youtube videos, which is where the comments came from.
USM had a similar threat either yesterday or the day before and caught the guy almost immediately.
