I am not traditionally an Auburn fan, but I am a hug Bruce Pearl fan. Watching the passion he coached with at Tennessee was awesome and he has brought that same enthusiasm to Auburn. I think he has done a nice job so far having the Tigers at 9-6 and 1-1 in the conference, this is a very small sample, but the guys seem to really be playing hard. I am curious about what others think of his performance so far and where they think the Tigers will end up this year?

He's still a scumbag, but a good coach and will do well there.

Definitely a POS but can't argue with his coaching ability.

They'll probably lose 20 games this year because they're so small, but they'll be better next year once Pearl gets more of his guys in.

Bama fans may consider him a scumbag, but wouldn't they rather have Pearl then Grant?

Joey, why do you even answer that POS

I am not sure if this team could win 1 game all year without the 3 or 4 players Pearl recruited his first year. Only 1 decent player left over from Barbee

We are progressively getting better each game. That's a lot more than what we've done in previous years. We also have people actually showing up to watch the games which is also something we haven't done in previous years.

Yep, he would never be hired at UGA. Our admins don't want negative baggage that comes with recruiting violations and lying to the NCAA about it.

You only play State once so Auburn might only win one more game all year.

He has done a great job so far, IMO. The team is improving every game. He is an outstanding coach and I hope we can keep him for quite a while. He was given a team that isn't deep talent wise, but he is getting the most out of them. I wouldn't trade him for anybody.

Great hire. they're better coached today than most of the conference. he'll recruit like crazy and they'll be a talented B'ball force as long as he's there. If they aren't in sweet 16 in 2016 I will be surprised.
He is the homerun hire I wish Bama had made this off season.

Some Bama fans might. I'm not one of them. I'm not a huge Grant fan, but I wouldn't piss on Pearl if he was on fire.

but you would suck saban's dick in the middle of Walmart.

quote:I am not reading that novel, but a bammer acting like they care about morality when it applies to their own coaches is beyond laughable. Saban is a liar, an enabler of violent thugs, and has already played a part in getting bammer on probation once. Most bammers couldn't care less about any of those things in regard to Saban as long as he continues to win

Saban did not place Alabama on probation. It was an issue that began two years prior to him even being at Alabama. In fact, it was Saban's support staff that reported the issue. Had Alabama not had previous NCAA issues, under another staff, the textbook scandal would have been a fine only. As the exact same issue happened at Nebraska and Ball State.
